The Candy Kingdom needs YOU
Honestly, considering the Winter King’s death couldn't have been more than a month ago, I’d say Winterworld Princess Bubblegum and the rest of the Candy Kingdom are doing a remarkably good job of patching things up.
One of the things about adventure time fandom that I strongly believe is a misconception is the idea that PB made absolutely everything in the Candy Kingdom the way it is now, that there's poor citizens or criminals because she made them like this, that the citizens are dumb because she made them like this. And just... NO!
She created the Candy people and they just "created themselves", they are not stagnated as one type of person forever, they are capable of learning, growing up and changing completely just like anyone else AND WE SEE THIS HAPPENING.
The Root bear guy ran off his everyday life for something else that he wanted, PB might have gave him that job (probably) but he didn't stay there, he went off on his own. Same thing goes to his marriage, yes, him and his wife were created to be married but then went "off" that later.
Cinnamon Bun is another example. If the candy people were created to be one way and never change he would never have the development he had on the show.
The candy people would never "impeach" her, they would never make secret meetings against her, if she actually made them to be just one way.
Yes, candy people are stupid, but not because PB made them to be stupid forever, BUT BECAUSE SHE SPOILS AND BABY THEM! They're like kids with helicopter overprotective parents, never actually had to grow up, but some want to.
If there's crime, poverty, mentally ill people in the kingdom it's their own path that got them to be that way, not PB genetically making them that way. We can discuss her involvement in their mentality because she did ""raised"" them (and only some of them because it's implied they can also reproduce), but she didn't CREATED them to be that way.
