Also are there any case of co bosses. Sometimes! If two toms are good friends they may hold power together, but there will rarely be more than two.

Is mating between lackeys allowed? Between males, sure. All female lackeys are spayed though, so none of those matings could produce kits. And loyalty to a mate over your boss is punished.

The society is called the Horde, and it's a group of practically feral cats living in a hoarding situation in a house near the clan territories. They have three levels of cats:

Bosses, intact males with breeding rights

Lackeys, neutered or nonbreeding males and spayed females

And queens, non-neutered females

Every queen has to mate with the current boss to "prove her loyalty" starting at six moons. This leads to a TON of kits, many of whom don't survive because there's not enough food or shelter for all of them. Bosses and lackeys fight off predators, but don't otherwise provide for the queens. Additionally any lackey that tries to mate will be driven out or killed. Bosses are replaced when they get too weak to defend their position and one of the non-neutered lackeys attacks and takes over from them.

That is fascinating.

Do male medicine cats get mollies? If not, why not?

They do! It's weird mental gymnastics that the clan did. But Male medicine cats can have mollies if the leader doesn't think it will interfere. They just can't have kits with them.

Though they're supposed to give them up if they feel they're falling in love/ want to be mates.

I was re watching Black Friday and the implications got to me.
