When YOU take a job you are risking:

Your ability to pay for your car payment and insurance.

The timing of when to have kids and if you can afford them.

The timing of when to have pets and if you can provide for them

Your ability to pay your rent or mortgage

Your ability to afford to pay the interest / pay back loans

Literal life and limb, depending on what you do

Your joint health, mental health, nerve health - even at a desk job

Your reputation, based on the reputation of the company - what if they scam people and your reputation is tarnished being associated with them? for example.

When your boss starts that company, they take a risk... that risk is having to rejoin the working class and be like YOU!

When someone tells you we should raise the age of retirement because we are living longer, ask who? In Canada, men in the top 20% are living 8 years longer than poor and working class men. So people who are living longer tend to be the same ones who don't need OAS.
