Spicy beans with cold cup of milk

I used baked beans from a can for this meal. I simmered them on the stovetop and added my own twist.

Use whichever brand of beans you prefer — or if you’re handy in the kitchen, cook raw beans from scratch. That will require more ingredients (ie: ketchup or tomato sauce, tomato paste, brown sugar) to get the baked flavor and of course will require baking them lol.

For extra flavor and heartiness, I added green cabbage, green onions, red onions, a bit of garlic and a pinch of salt and cayan pepper.

The cold milk (dairy, soy or nut — whichever you prefer) was a perfect pairing with the heat from the beans.
