SooJae for the ask thing (because you seem to like them :3)
Oh boy I do I do! But mostly you’ll just get me crying about the lack of content.
When I started shipping them:So like I was working on the roleswap AU, and originally it was gen and I just want Yona and Soowon to switch places. But then somehow uh... I got to thinking on the question of agency, and like... in some way I always felt iffy about how Jaeha’s place alongside Yona because when he said he wanted to middle finger his bloodline I was like “yeah do it, fuck destiny”. And I guess I really just want an AU where he chose to follow someone without... the influence of the dragon blood? Also they’d just get along so.
And then I saw @fallenwithstyle also ship them so like... they’re an enabler and now we’re both in the hole.
My thoughts: ^
What makes me happy about them:I think they can be a very sweet and supportive ship with a lot of love for the world? Like... you know some ships would be defined by a focus on each other. But I think Soojae would be the type of companions that just stays by each, but they’d both be in love with the world?
What makes me sad about them:It sort of has to be AU or really post-canon for it to work. And since canon isn’t over yet, post-canon is a bit harder to write.
Things done in fanfic that annoys me: What fics?
Things I look for in fanfic: Fanfics... in general. But also h/c. I honestly think this can be a good ship for that it just... have to get there okay... Cause Soowon is a problem solver and will be all “let’s solve these problems!” Jaeha is very empathetic so he can occasionally be like “Soowon you forgot you’re human again.”
My wishlist:To have another fic. I want AU fics, post-canon fics, any fics where it’ll work. But like also I’d super like a h/c fic somehow.
Who I’d be comfortable them ending up with, if not each other: I’d be happy if Soowon ends with no one. With Jaeha... heck I’d be happy if he just continues to play team big bro. I don’t really like... need people to get together romantically in canon (except for hakyona, of course).
Companionship wise... I mean I hope Soowon makes up with Yona and Hak eventually.
My happily ever after for them:BE TRAVEL COMPANIONS! Or just... companionship in general? Like if Soowon continues to be king then can they be friends and just say hi every time Yona & Co. passes by? That’s all I want man. Just... for them to keep each other company.
