I really love the Phineas and Ferb Christmas special’s depiction of Santa as someone who doesn’t just bring physical presents but will use his omniscience to tweak circumstances so that everyone’s more abstract/ideological wishes are granted as well.

Do newer fans not realize that Bellamort absolutely existed prior to Cursed Child? I first read the books in 2008 and immediately suspected there was something going on between them. And when those suspicions morphed into me actively shipping them and I went looking for like-minded people on the internet, I found plenty. There were lots of fics and fan art and people pointing out the same things I’d noticed—Voldemort rescuing Bella at the end of OOTP at great personal cost, his reaction to her death, her “longing for closeness” and speaking to him “as if to a lover,” him calling her “Bella” even when angry with her, her faith that he would return and proud declaration of her loyalty at her trial, him being “the happiest he’d been in fourteen years” after reuniting with her, practically everything Bellatrix says at Spinner’s End, etc.

I even remember reading a theory around 2011 that the reason Bellatrix was absent from most of HBP was because she was pregnant with Voldemort’s child! (Wonder how the person who wrote it felt when Cursed Child came out…)

The confirmation and “official canon” status provided by Cursed Child is lovely and made me very happy and I adore Delphi, but we’ve been here long before it and we were doing just fine!

Kylux constantly playing with each other’s hair but Kylo is always trying to mess Hux’s up while Hux is always trying to straighten Kylo’s. In true Kylux fashion, it doubles as a gesture of affection and a way of annoying each other.

I know he killed and tortured tons of people, mutilated his own soul and tried to take over the world but PERSONALLY I think the worst thing Voldemort ever did was being rude to Bellatrix in front of the other Death Eaters in Chapter One of Deathly Hallows.

Need to write an AU where Bellatrix and Voldemort survive the Battle of Hogwarts but still lose the war. They’re the last ones standing, all the other Death Eaters have been defeated and the horcruxes have been destroyed so Voldemort is acutely aware that he could actually die. Not willing to risk that, and having come to see Bella’s survival as integral to his own, they strategically retreat, swing by Malfoy Manor to grab Delphi and go on the run.

They move between a number of shadowy, secluded locations, never staying anywhere too long and minimizing use of magic to avoid drawing attention to themselves. Voldemort is desperately searching for a new way to make himself immortal, Bellatrix is reeling from Narcissa’s betrayal and both of them are struggling to come to terms with just how far they’ve fallen while all while trying to raise a child, something neither of them had ever really expected or wanted to have to do in the first place. Of course such a stressful situation leads to some arguments but they stay together through them all. They’ve lost everything except each other. And maybe, somewhere down the line, they realize that that’s enough.

Crack Headcanon: The reason Voldemort kidnapped Florean Fortescue during Half-Blood Prince was because Bella was having pregnancy cravings for a very specific ice cream flavor only he made.
