I believe the reason why there are so many stans for Carol Danvers and Maria Rambeau.....

is due to the fact that they have everything it takes to be a wholesome, but also ass kicking, WLW hero family.

Yes, Captain Marvel could be the first legitimate LGBT hero for mcu onscreen (heavy on the COULD be, the way this industry is set up) but why not go further? The background is already set for them, with an immense amount of history to delve into. The chemistry bewteen these two is undeniable. The chemistry between Carol, Maria and Monica is the most adorbs. Maria isn't all in on the galactic fight, but she isn't sidelined either so seeing her eyes open to the universe is a draw. Having Carol get reacquainted with Earth and her original self with the help of her family seems more genuine.

If Carol is paired with anyone else there is none of this. I love a good single WLW story but the dynamic these two have is just so easy to recieve. It gives me the warm and fuzzies. The familial aspect. The questions unanswered. The old Carol vs Vers.The "once I was lost but now I am found" storyline has so much potential.........
