Here's a snippet from a conversation Buck and Eddie are having with Chris after they return home following Chris' high school graduation.

After a few moments, Eddie looks at his husband and once they finish having a silent conversation, Eddie nods then they look at their son and he says, "Chris, if you're ready, me and Buck want to give you your graduation gifts now."
He smiles and replies, "Ok, I'm ready."
Since Buck got the envelopes out of their office before he entered the room, he hands him the first one.
Chris tilts his head to the side because he can't imagine what's inside and after he looks back and forth between them, he opens it and after he reads the information, his eyes widen to the size of silver dollars. "Dad and Buck... this is a ticket for a cruise!"
They both chuckle and after they finish, Eddie explains, "It is and it's one of the gifts we have for you. Chris, you're our son, we love you so much and we're so proud of you. You're a high school graduate now and you'll be going to college in a few weeks. This gift is to celebrate you and all of your accomplishments."
"Thank you and I love both of you too." He says with a smile but after a couple of seconds, he looks up and mentions, "I have a question."
"Ok, what is it?" Buck asks.
"The dates listed for the cruise is next weekend but I thought we were going to El Paso on Friday."
Eddie looks at him and says, "Actually, when your tías and tíos where here for Christmas, we discussed a plan for yours, Mario's and Vincent's graduations since they were all going to happen on the same day and we decided to celebrate yours and your cousins' accomplishment and your birthdays by taking a 4-day cruise to Mexico."
