"Don't just tease my brain, Captain. Really go to town on it".
Holt assigns Boyle to Roger Peralta’s smuggling case “to have an objective set of eyes.”
Holt, you were there when Boyle rightfully talked shit about Roger Peralta being a terrible dad to Jake!!! I don’t think that’s objective.
“You’re a pretty crappy father. And until you’re ready to be a good one, don’t call me.”
And he DIDNT call him, he got back together with Karen and that’s how he reconnected with Jake. Not for Jake, for Karen. Roger Peralta truly is the worst and I’m so glad he’s back in season 7. Especially if Amy’s pregnant. Jake’s going to be more vulnerable about this than ever and I really need to see Roger try and make proper amends, not just for Karen and the sake of his grandchild, but for his own son.
This is why I’m so grateful that casecation exists - because it’s shown that the writers are aware of Jake’s issues (not only that, but he’s aware himself) and the ramifications that could have on his children. If casecation didn’t exist, I’d be worried he’s going into fatherhood blindly and impulsively, because Jake is otherwise an impulsive person. Casecation was quite painful to watch, but I feel like those conversations NEEDED to happen for Jake, Amy, and the fans who have reason to believe Jake is still too immature to be a good father. This show has never shied away from addressing Jake’s issues with his dad, not to mention he decided to start therapy the episode before.
Sorry. Rant over. I rewatched captain peralta the other day and it made me Feel Things, particularly after the recent spoilers.
So I got to the Captain Peralta episode of B99 and paused to figure out the whole 12 men on an island see-saw puzzle because I didn’t want the answer to be spoiled before I had chance to work it out myself, got the answer, continued the episode, only to find out they don’t give the answer.
I need to call Captain Holt so he can beat his boss now :’)
Brooklyn Nine-Nine (TV Series) - S2/Ep18, ' Captain Peralta' (2015) Dirk Blocker as Hitchcock
I just love Hitchcock.
Brooklyn 9-9 brain teaser
I’m so proud of myself, I figured out the brain teaser Holt presented to the detectives, before they figured it out (only because I’m sure I’ve heard the brain teaser before but it took me a while to remember the answer!)
12 people on an island, 1 of them is heavier/lighter than the rest and you can only use the scales 3 times.
1. You weight 4 people on each side of the scales (amounting to 8 people weighed and 4 left to weigh).
If the scales don’t tip, that means the different weighted person is in the other group.
2. You then put the people of the group that has the heavier/lighter person on the scales, 2 people on each scale.
3. You then weigh the 2 people individually and you’ve got the different weighted person figured out !!!!!
Dont know if I explained this well, but I don’t care because I figured this out 😁😍😍
jake: amy, i think you should play the role of my father
amy: i don't want to be your father
jake: great, you already know the lines
