I love this so much! @captainderyn outdid themselves with this one! Her wings pulled to the side so she can carry ''the one thing she wants to take with her always'' and Luicus smug little smile. His metal fingees .. .her delighted expression. These two OCs get up to all kinds of shenanigans. And The Captain caught it all in one perfect sketch. *_*
I got in on @captainderyn's art commissions and this is what they delivered for me! LOOK AT THIS -- I love everything about this! My girl and her wizard look so good! <3
@captainderyn did a beautiful wedding picture of my baby tomatoes Rhiasen and Scourge â¨ď¸ go commission them if you can â¤ď¸
aaaaaa so guess who commissioned @captainderyn and got a lovely drawing of Ethedis đđżâ¨ (it was me. I did. I will be staring at this for many hours)
look at heeeeer!!! she's got a big ol bundle of flowers and the sweetest lil face đĽş
đwhy is writing important to you?
Oh, that's an interesting one! I had a period of like 5-6 years where I didn't write almost anything, and once I picked it back up, it was kind of like a release valve in a way? Even when I'm writing about a fictional thing that doesn't really relate all that closely to whatever's going on in my life, somehow it feels in a way like it's helping arrange those thoughts/feelings into some sort of tangible shape, or just getting an idea or story out of my head, and once the words are on a page it's a relief.
...also it's fun, and I sometimes write sentences that make everyone curse my name. And that makes me cackle with glee.
@captainderyn them !!!Â
Hi!! I hope you donât mind me asking but how do you get that super smooth and soft shading like in the bottom sketch of Drez on the sketches you posted? It looks so good and Iâd love to know the process đ btw I love seeing your art again!
Hello! sorry I didnât get to this quicker, but I use a combination of brushes for rendering, the first is by JJCanvas and I cannot find the link for their PS brushes but they do have ones for Procreate. I use these 99% of the time because its got an amazing fadeout at the end of the stroke so its easier to blend in with other colours and general sketches. The specific brushes I used to make Drez hella smooth was a skin/dirt brush pack that has a whole bunch of speckles and like, tv static texture so it makes really nice skin cells while its also really soft and wont leave any harsh lines. The actual brush artist I donât remember because the file name doesn't mention them but it will likely be from NatalieHijazi or pixelstains NOW, I also like to smudge together different colours with a specific brush set made for smudging from JohnSilva on Deviantart because for me anyway it gives me very good control on how much I want to blend out with the added texture. I hope this helps because im very excited to get back into star wars art, I have missed my boys so much :D
