I'm totally with this. What makes me nervous about Lincoln is that he has been used as a red herring soooo many times at this point, I feel like they want us to expect he is a red herring again and not worry about him. Plus the ways that Chloe and Luke have been describing the next episodes is not giving me hope lol. But I could totally go for Daisy killing Hive, I need that so bad. I could also see them faking out Mack's death to put him thru the mists & intro Stonewall
That’s true, re Lincoln. Can you link me to those interviews you’re talking about? I don’t know many AOS blogs so it’s hard for me to always find stuff like that.
Re Stonewall, I don’t have the background Marvel knowledge for me to casually theorize but I looked him up and it says that he’s the son Carl Creel, a character that already exists on aos? So that doesn’t really work for me, but I have always thought that there was this possibility that Mack could be Inhuman after being controlled by the...kree...terrigen...power...city and living. But he’s pretty important also as the moral human backbone of Shield, so idk.
I really do think it’s Hive dying and the “core member” is Brett Dalton. Or I have to think that so i don’t worry about anyone else.

Was Lincoln being self-sacrificing in drawing Lash out? It kind of occurred to me that maybe that was what he was doing. Putting himself in danger to keep the others safe.
There may have been some of that.
But Lincoln tracked down his friends when he was on the run.
“Do you have any friends out there?”
“Not as many as I thought.”
He found they were missing or dead. Before that phone call. I mean, hell, he probably found one of their bodies. And he couldn’t tell Daisy, because he didn’t want to put her in more danger when he realized they were in SHIELD. To find out who killed Kurt Shane and his wife, and see him in the flesh. Lincoln was already processing Andrew’s reactions. He knew how inhumans were chosen. Despite Jiaying’s thirst for revenge on SHIELD, she did have a very solid way to choose who would transition. And Lincoln, Lincoln knew how to recognize it himself.
Andrew. Would. Have. Never. Been. Chosen.
Lincoln went through preparation to transition hearing the stories about Bahrain. And here he was, seeing an inhuman absolutely losing it. Mix that with the dangerous emotion of anger and loss at the death of his friends because this guy– this person who knew nothing about them– decided they deserved to die?
Lincoln didn’t do it to be self-sacrificing, though it may have helped. Lincoln let himself lose his chill, because he recognized that there was no helping Andrew.

Why I love this: The banter and dialogue in this fic make me want to weep with how good it is. They have such an interesting, in character repartee and it’s so, so nice to read. I love the writer’s style, I love the fake!dating trope, I love so many aspects about this fic.

G. [8,728words: ONESHOT]. It’s possibly one of the stupidest things she’s ever done—and she’s done a lot of stupid things. But let’s start at the beginning.
Why I love this: Better question: why don’t I love this? The author has such a way with words - their style is absolute impeccable. It’s such an enjoyable read, even if it’s tearing my heart out. I love both of their characterizations and imagery is nothing less than incredible.

M. [371,441 words: MULTICHAPTER]. He’s the charming, out of control frontman of one of the most successful bands in the world. She’s a hard-working rising actress. Sometimes it’s hard to find out what’s real and what’s make-believe when fame’s in the game.
Why I love this: The fic that was heard in every fic rec list, and for good reason. This fic will make you laugh and make you cry, possibly within the same ten minutes. Read it. READ IT. It’s basically required reading, you know.

M. [85,753 words: MULTICHAPTER]. Teaching at the same school as Killian Jones was both infuriating and distracting, but when he throws Emma under the bus for the final time, she devises a plan to get back at him. After all, nobody likes to go to a wedding alone. Time for some CS AU fake dating

Why I love this: This fic is adorable - I love the dynamic Killian and Emma have in it and I love how you see their relationship progress. The characterizations and the little details really make this fic a really fun read.

Why I love this: The angst in this fic will hit you like a punch to the gut, but it’s so worth it. Emma’s loneliness and self-depreciation feel so tangible, as does Killian’s determination to get through to her.

Why I love this: I keep on saying this over and over again for these, but honestly - the dialouge and interactions here are everything. Emma’s relationship with her parents are also everything, but the way that Emma and Killian get through to each other really makes me !!! You would think a writing-based blog would be more eloquent, and yet…
