I'm heartbroken to hear that Amity the captured dolphin has just died at Sea World on the Gold Coast. It's true she didn't die young in captivity like many dolphins do but it's even more heartbreaking to know that her life was 50 long miserable years in a prison which is no life at all. Sea World should of tried to make things right by retiring this captured dolphin to a ocean sanctuary but instead they kept her at the theme park to be gawked at. Sea World Gold Coast is a prison for dolphins. I wish we could of saved you Amity from that dreadful theme park but I'm hopeful that dolphin captivity will be banned in the near future. A day in the life of a tiger cub at @dreamworldau There are an estimated 3000-4000 tigers left in the wild, and this is how Dreamworld 'conserves and protects' their captive-bred population. We need to pay more respect to these magestic apex predators, and not parade them around childrens gift shops or restaurants to be surrounded by and touched by countless tourists. Dreamworld is a themepark and profits from human amusement. It is not an animal sanctuary. Don't buy the lies, these animals are bred only for your entertainment - nothing more. It'd be cool if Vancouver Aquarium stopped with their rhetoric and strong-arming and started acting in the best interest of wild animals.
