Though there is more than one such factory, the one known as ‘castle bromwich’ is the most interesting, an so this article is about that industrious place...

In 1936 the British government turned an empty site in the English midlands into a big aircraft factory. The photo above was arranged to commemorate its history. The planes made there went to fly in combat missions during World War 2.

Over the past several decades many technologies have been introduced to aid the manufacture of cars, so to keep up with heavy competition. The photo above if from a media tour. It shows the car frame for a 2-seater sports car.

Above is whats technically called a unibody, an working upon this are production-line robots, who are applying spot-welds to bond the structure.

After most of the robotic work is done, hand-fitted parts are added to ensure a more personalised customisation to the pre-ordered specification.

Body-panels are fitted via automation. The metal utilised is aluminum, whereas the power-train and drive-train is largely steel. Electronics are hand-fitted after.
