I read the books first and I deeply disliked Jaime for what he did to Bran. But reading that chapter I felt terrible, I kept thinking, I might not like him but he doesn't deserve THIS. It was really where I started on the road to like him as a character.

yeah thinking about it that’s probably what happened for me in the show too (although I hardly remember my thoughts on Jaime pre-s3 it’s so weird it feels like ages ago..), it’s a pretty effective way of creating sympathy for a character readers have good reasons not to like (and then george follows it by slapping you on the face with that reveal of the aerys thing and all things start to shift.. good job george)

That’s probably not fair, I’m sure he’s a decent character that gets better, as most of these characters do, as they’re all teenagers/20-somethings going through Stuff, as teenagers/20-somethings do.

Based on what little I know of him, his desire to be superior to Edelguard is...off putting? 

But yeah someone’s inevitably going to take lower priority. I willy TRY to recruit everyone I can but it might not happen this time.

Also I’m like....he’s a dude character, he’s popular enough, he don’t need me liking him. I’ve seen all the fanart of him and Hubert, who I also don’t give two shits about. They’re fine.

A BE playthrough is going to be hard for me.

Finally came around to post this Lil Birthday card I made for my dearest @caramelcheese . I'm really behind on Voltron but if there's something I know is that Sheith is super legit, hahah!
