Prompt: 12. Playing Holiday matchmaker basically having a stand like Sally from the Peanuts--
It was October twenty-first when I decided to play matchmaker. Wanting everyone to have someone to hold during the holidays and make a quick buck. Sure, I could have done a kissing booth, but getting Mono does not sound fun. It took two days to set up my stand outside of the school building. “(Y/n)’s Matchmaking Magic” painted in white in front of a pink heart on a yellow stand. Wanting to attract everyone at my school to come over to my stand.
Day one went smoothly, with quite a few people picking up applications. Day two the same with a few people handing theirs in. Day three and four dragged by, I had one or two visitors, and neither picked up or dropped off an application. Both of those days, I was comparing matches, seeing who has the best compatibility. The fifth day at lunch I called over a promising looking couple. Telling them the arrangements I made, and they both seemed happy.
After the weekend, I came back to my stand during lunch. To see both of them standing in front with matching gleaming smiles. They tell me about how well their date went. How much they appreciated my work that they recommended me to all their friends. My heart swelled at the compliments, and I told them how happy I was to see it worked out for them.
I had a major influx that week, more people picking up and dropping off their applications. It got to the point where I ran out on Thursday. I could not believe my eyes, I had made two hundred copies, and I ran out. But that didn’t stop people from coming over. Telling me what their personality was like and what they are looking for in someone. As I wrote everything down in my notebook, hoping to catch every last detail.
Before I could head to the printer, there was one last person that walked up to my stand; someone who I didn’t expect or want to come to my stand. Not because I hated their guts, no quite the opposite. You see, I have been harboring the biggest crush on Kim Mingyu since I first laid eyes on him in eighth grade. I’m a senior in high school now, so if that gives you any indicator,...
“I heard you ran out of applications,” I nod, “Would you mind if I apply anyway?” I shake my head 'yes', “Go right ahead, I’ll write it in my notebook.” He describes himself as tall, clumsy, and a puppy. I couldn’t agree more, and he continues explaining that he sucks at math. I want to snicker and tell him I could help him out. But I resist, and he tells me what he’s looking for in someone. Someone bright, kind, easy-going, and hopefully good at math. My brain couldn’t stop going, ‘One plus one makes two, say you’re his type!' Having to physically fight my brain was not on my agenda today, but it may be the front line page of tomorrow's news. I look up at him, “Any interests you would want in common?” He nods, “Someone who loves music and basketball.” All I can hear is my brain go, ‘Check, check, and check. Any more qualifications? I bet I can meet them.’ I smile at him, and I ask him if there is anything else. He shakes his head and says, “Thank you, (Y/n), I appreciate it. I know you can find the perfect match.” If it wasn’t for my name being on the stand, my heart would be beating out of its chest.
I tell him it’s no problem and I’ll make sure he has a date for the holidays. He smiles, and with that, he walks away, and I walk to the office to print out more applications. Why did he of all people have to come to my stand? I fight with my brain to erase his beautiful smile from my mind. It’s not like I haven’t talked to him before, rather I’ve been his partner in math more than half of the time. Always helping him out as he makes me laugh about the simplest of problems. Why is he good-looking, funny, and kind? I shake my head ignoring these thoughts as I collect the applications and set them back on my stand. I set my arms on the plywood and sort through all the applications, and make pairs. Setting different people up for dates; when I notice someone who matches Mingyu’s type perfectly. I sigh and place their papers together. You can’t always get what you want is what that one Rolling Stones song says.
--
On Friday, I call people over to my stand and tell them who I set them up with. When to arrive and what to wear. This part has to be the most fun up until I reach Mingyu and his soon-to-be-partner. I sigh and call him over, and his eyes are bright with a million stars, and has a cute smile playing on his lips. I shake my head of those thoughts as Wonwoo joins us. “Okay, so I set you guys up for Sunday at the Stone Cafe at 10? What do you think?” Wonwoo smiles over at Mingyu and Mingyu smiles back at him. They nod and I tell them specifics, and when Mingyu walks away. Wonwoo stays behind and asks, “What do I wear?” I smile knowing Mingyu pretty well, “Anything that looks nice. Mingyu is going to like whatever you wear.” He smiles and thanks me since I calmed his nerves down.
I go to the restroom and lean my head against the stall door. Ugh, why did I do this to myself? I could have set myself up with him. At least they will be happy together if Mingyu is happy then I am. I look through the few remaining applicants. Man, I need a date, I think to myself as I settle on the last few pairs.
Monday comes around, and Wonwoo approaches my stand. He scratches the back of his neck, and I ask, “Did it go well?” He kind of grimaces, “Oh no, what happened.” He sighs, “It was on accident, but he spilled his pop all over me, and I was wondering if you had anyone else in that pile.” I wish to sigh in relief as I go through a few, “Well, I have two options for you, Nayeon or Junhui?” He looks over both applications and tells me Nayeon. I nod and tell him I’ll make the arrangements later today.
Twenty minutes later, and Mingyu is telling me his date did not go well. How he spilled pop all over Wonwoo’s cashmere sweater and that he felt so embarrassed he paid for the whole meal and left. Jeez, no wonder Wonwoo wanted to go out with someone else. Although Mingyu is such a cute and sweet mess that I wouldn’t mind it. I have three more applications sitting in my lap, and I go over each, and he decides on Junhui. I agree wishing him better luck; instead of leaving, he asks me. “Have you set yourself up with anyone yet?” I shake my head, ‘no’, “I never got around to it.” He nods, “Well, since you listen to how everyone’s dates go. How about I return the favor when you go out with someone.” I thank him and wish to tell him that I want to go out with him and no one else. But the cowardly lion covers my mouth with its paw. He smiles and waves me goodbye, and my heart longs for him to stay.
Mingyu has yet come to see me, and it’s been a week since his date with Junhui. I guess it went pretty well, feeling proud and sad at the same time. I didn’t even know I could feel both of those emotions at the same time. Business went as usual when I noticed I haven’t seen Junhui since he dropped off his application either. I knew he was kind of shy, but he seemed so friendly. I mark on my calendar another arrangement. Nayeon told me how well her date with Wonwoo went. That he even asked her to be his, and I couldn’t help but share her excitement. Nearly everyone I have set up has been happy with my choices.
That’s when Mingyu comes over, “Hey,...” I dread his tone already knowing it didn’t go well. “How did it go, Mingyu?” He pouts, “Not well,...” I pout back, “Why’s that?” He sighs, “I told them the truth.” I tilt my head to the side, “The only reason I came over to your stand was so I could spend time with you,...” I furrow my brows at his statement, “Okay, but what does this have to do with the dates?” He sighs, “Everything,... I would like to go on a date with you instead.” He scratches the back of his neck, and my jaw hits the floor. Kim Mingyu wants to go out on a date with me? My heart nearly goes into cardiac arrest. I smile at him and say, “I’m free Friday.” He smiles and says, “6 pm?” I nod and ask, “Stone Cafe?” He shakes his head, ‘no’, “Let me surprise you.” I shrug and agree when he leaves, I can’t catch the little ‘yes’ that escapes my throat.
Jun comes over later, and I hook him up with Minghao, the only other applicant I have left. He agrees, and needless to say, everyone that got paired up at this stand has been a success. But you try sometimes, you find, you get what you need.

Jeonghan X Reader (Best friend! Seungkwan)
Requested: Heyy, I wanted to request Jeonghan (Seventeen) + 11, if it's okay. Thank you in advance. 🤗
Prompt: 11. “You’ve never been kissed under the mistletoe? We’ve gotta change that--”
Seungkwan rushes into my apartment, with a big smile on his face. He sits across from me on a barstool and I ask him what’s got him so happy. “Well, you know how you need to bring someone home?” I nod, my eyebrows furrowing wondering what trick Seungkwan has under his sleeves. “I have just the guy for you, but that depends on you of course. So, I took the pleasure of setting you guys up on a date.” I sigh, knowing I’m not getting out of this blind date.
“What are they like?” He grins, “His name’s Jeonghan and he is your type. I don’t mean your type like you’d be fine going on a date with him. I mean he’s the type where I should be planning your wedding and not your first date with him.” I shrug and say, “Go on,...” He grins, “I’m glad you’re not turning down the idea already.” 'Even if I tried, you’d still make me go', I hold back from saying that and let him continue. “He’s funny, likes to play pranks, and is a good listener. He’s handsome and comfortable.” “What do you mean by comfortable?” He shrugs, “He dresses nice but comfortable, you know? He’s also comforting to be around. Like you can open up to him and he would never tell a soul.” I shrug, “Alright, anything else?” “You’re gonna like him and your date is at 4:15 tomorrow.”
Jeonghan sounds like a good person. At least my parents won’t put up a billboard saying, ‘Last dateable person till exit 37. Call, (xxx)xxx-xxxx to set up a date’. Yeah, I can’t deal with that level of embarrassment. That’s why I begged Seungkwan to help me out. He knows almost everyone in this town, so I was bound to at least end up with a Joe Schmoe. But I didn’t think he would go above and beyond that. I guess I'll see about that tomorrow.
I receive a text on my phone as I get out of my car and head towards the restaurant. My phone dings and it’s a notification from an unknown number that says, “Hey, this is (Y/n), right?” I text back quickly, “Yeah, is this Jeonghan?” It dings back almost immediately, “That’s me. I’m sitting at the third table next to the open window.” I text back an ‘okay’. I shake off my nerves and open the door and walk towards the third table on the left. I sit down across from, who I assume is Jeonghan. He holds out his hand to me, “I’m Jeonghan, and you must be (Y/n)?” I nod, “That’s me, what made you agree to go on a date with me?” He shrugs, “The same as you if I come home alone for the fifth Christmas. My parents are going to be the ones setting me up on blind dates,... I don’t know if I can handle that.” I laugh, “I thought mine were bad for wanting to put up a billboard that said, ‘Last dateable person till exit 37’,... But man do you have me beat.” He laughs, “Our parents would definitely get along.” I laugh when I finally take in his presence.
He’s wearing a fuzzy brown cardigan with a black shirt. His brown hair looks fluffy with a slight wave in it. Seungkwan was not joking when he said Jeonghan was handsome. The waiter comes over handing us menus and I look through the selection. “Have you ever been here before?” He shakes his head, “No, but I wish I would have sooner. How does Seungkwan know about this place?” I shrug, “He’s adventurous,...” He grins, “You’re right about that.”
The waiter comes back over and takes our order. “How did you meet Seungkwan?” He asks me when the waiter leaves. “Oh, that’s easy, when I was seven we moved to a new house and Seungkwan happened to be the neighbor’s kid. From then on we have been close friends. What about you guys, I’ve heard him mention you a few times.” He smiles, “You know Vernon?” I nod, “Yeah, of course, I do.” “He’s my roommate,...” I pat his shoulder, “Sometimes I’m glad that Seungkwan has always been my neighbor and not my roommate. This would be one of those times.” He groans, “I wish I could say the same.” I laugh and he grins back and I ask, “What’s your occupation?”
“Funny enough, I work for a company that makes billboard signs.” I shake my head, “Now you mean to tell me my parents would call you--.” He nods and we both laugh, “Well, if your parents were looking for a bank accountant, here I am.” He grins and our food comes out.
When we’re halfway through our food Jeonghan asks, “Well, tell me something no one knows about you.” I contemplate Jeonghan’s question, that’s a difficult thing. When I look up at the ceiling near the ceiling fan hangs mistletoe. That’s when it pops in my head, “I’ve never been kissed under the mistletoe before.” His jaw drops from my statement, “What? I’m not kidding,...” He looks up from his plate and at me and says, “You’ve never been kissed under the mistletoe? We’ve gotta change that--” Before I can take another bite of my pasta he grabs my hand and my fork falls into my bowl. He walks me over to the mistletoe, “Can I kiss you?” Well, he’s cute, funny, and if Seungkwan likes him, what the heck. I nod and he places his hand on my jaw and leans in and kisses me. He pulls away and I can’t help but want more, of course, I don’t do anything about it. But my red cheeks say it all, as a few whistles resound in the restaurant.
I scoot my chair back in and I ask him in turn what’s something no one knows about him. He runs his hand through his hair. I take a few more bites when he says, “I’ve never been on a blind date before.” It’s my turn to have my jaw drop, “No way” he nods. I grin, “Well, how do you feel about your first date?” He smiles, “I wouldn’t mind if it was my last.” Now that's a coy way of flirting. I smile back at him, “I hope you mean that nicely.” He smiles and after he finishes his bite, “Yeah, I’m enjoying our date.” I grin, “I am too.”
He offers to walk me home when we finish up our dinner date. I agree, not wanting it to end. We walk through the park and I ask, “What’s your favorite gift you’ve ever received on Christmas?” He takes a second to think about it, “Probably finding out that I would be having a baby sister.” “Aww, that’s sweet… I was going to say a VCR set of my siblings and I growing up. But yours is more sincere.” He nudges me, “Nah, I think yours is sweet as well.” I smile at him, “Your turn.” It goes on like that until we reach my apartment complex. “I don’t want the night to end.” He pouts, “Nor do I, but Seungkwan told me you have work early and not to keep you out late.” I shake my head, “He is worse than my mother,...” He laughs, “That’s what best friends are for though.” I nod, “I know, he’s one of the best.” I look down at my feet and ask him, “Can we do this again sometime?” He places a kiss on my cheek, “It’s a date.”
Summary: My last made me feel like I would never try again. But after three times of forgetting your number I found I couldn’t forget you.
Oneshot with Fluff and Angst?

Junhui X Reader [Ex!Mingyu]
After I left Mingyu, I felt broken, numb, and lost. He was my everything, and I could never fill the void of having someone to hold me while I rest. Or wake up with a morning kiss. It made me hate mornings, only feeling well enough to go out at night for essentials. Nothing, I had realized, would be the same. It took a week more to realize that. I was not mad with myself. I was frustrated at the whole situation. The stupid reasons why he left made me drip with anger. It got to the point where I never thought I would try dating again. What more could it lead to more than a broken heart?
If Soonyoung and Seokmin, my best friends, did not have my back, I know I would be in worse shape. Seokmin held me as I cried, “It's okay to cry over spilled milk; you still lost something.” Soonyoung curled around us anytime we needed something he would rush around to get it. Soonyoung decided in the fifth week that he had enough of sitting around. Dragged us out for a late-night adventure, hitting random gas stations: traveling around mindlessly, enjoying each other's company. It did more to fill the void than laying around and moping ever did. Enjoying my life made me feel better, and I found myself laughing loudly. Prompting the two of them to grow even sillier to keep me smiling and laughing.
They decided to start small about getting me out of the apartment complex. Until I was taking us out after work, cracking jokes, and feeling like myself. What I thought was impossible is now my current reality, and I could not be happier. Mingyu was my past; I am my present and future. It took me a while to come to that realization. I do not feel chained to a relationship that no longer exists.
--
Although, Seokmin, just because I am content does not mean that I'm ready to go to a whole ass gala. Like whoever heard of a Spring Gala? Apparently, a lot of people did considering the length of the guest list. I knew before I could even disagree with it he already signed the three of us up. Soonyoung shrugged when I told him since he gets to show off his dance moves. Seokmin will be singing on the stage by the end of the night. Where does that leave me?
--
Well, I’m glad you asked; I am currently refilling my cup up with red fruit punch and watching the madness take place. Soonyoung is living it up on the dancefloor, attracting a crowd; Seokmin is belting out a love song while the band accompanies him. I grin and grab a mini brownie from the table and dip it in the chocolate fountain. Waiting for the two boys to tucker themselves out before I join in on their fun. I watch as Seokmin turns around and gives his thanks to the band, telling them he will be up later. They grin at him as he finds his way over towards me. Soonyoung followed shortly after, falling off the energy of the first five songs. They fill up their cups with fruit punch, and we head over to a table.
We find a table with equal distance to both the refreshments and the dance floor. They excitedly talk about their experiences. While I listen, my eyes flit around and find someone standing in the same spot I was only moments ago. He seems uninterested in the dancing surrounding him, with his leg crossed in front of the other. Before I can think much of it, I am being poked back into reality. “So~ Who has caught your eye?” I look down at my hands and take a tiny sip of my drink and tell them about the guy standing at the refreshment table. They urge me to go over and talk to him, finding no downsides to their suggestions. I head over to him. Dancing with a cute guy is what I deserved after being treated like shit. I smile at him as I approach, and his lips quirk up with wonder. I ask him for a dance, and he shrugs and throws away his cup, and follows me over to the dance floor.
We took turns spinning each other to the music, staying in each other's general vicinity. When a slower song comes on, I cautiously bring him in, and he grins. He tells me that his name is “Wen Junhui, but you can call me Jun". I tell him my name as we spend the night moving around the dancefloor together. When the gallery finally starts to clear out, Jun tells me he has to leave and rest for work. I nod, telling him I understand knowing, I should be heading home soon as well. When he exits, I realize I forgot to get his number, and I start mentally kicking myself because I forgot to get his number. Soonyoung and Seokmin come up behind me and wrap their arms around my shoulders. "Seems that went well!" Soonyoung cheers, and I tell them about how I forgot his number, and Seokmin pats my back and says, "There is always next time." I shrug and know that he is right, and we head off to our shared apartment. Maybe a Spring Gala is not the best place to start looking for someone, but it is better than nothing.
--
If I would have known that after that night, I would have kept running into him. I would not have been kicking myself for forgetting to get his number.
--
I head to my local record store looking for the last addition to my (favorite group) collection. I spend about twenty minutes looking for it in the usual sections, and I find myself coming up short. I groan as I realize that I am going to have to ask the owner. I head over to the counter and find no one is there and ring the service bell. To hear an ‘ow’ come from the back break room. They come out rubbing their neck. It is not until I get a full look at them that I realize who they are. “Jun?” “(Y-Y/n)? Um, why are you here?” I smile, “I was looking to add the last piece to my collection.” He nods, “But I saw it was not out on the floor. Would you happen to have it in the back?” He says, “Oh, sure, I uh, can find out. Which album would it happen to be?” I tell him, and he walks back into the room, and about ten minutes later, he comes out with the album I need. He hands it over to me, and I cannot hold the small gasp of surprise from coming out. He grins, “I take it this is the one you needed?” I nod my head frantically, as he rings me up and tells me that it's ten bucks, and my jaw nearly drops. “It can’t be that cheap. This album has gone in and out of print.” He shrugs, “Consider it the first customer of the day discount.” He doesn’t have to tell me twice I cannot seem to pull the money out fast enough. I hold the album close to me as he gives me change and asks, “I’ll see you next time, (Y/n)?” I nod with a spring in my step and thank him for the album, and wave him goodbye.
--
The next time I see him, I’m out on a late-night mission grabbing ice cream for the three of us at the corner store gas station. I pick out three different pints of ice cream and head over to the cash register. When I notice it’s Jun again, he's behind the counter, but I thought he worked at the record store? Confused, I ask him, “I thought you worked at the record store, though?” He shakes his head, "Kind of, it's my aunt’s record store, and when she is not around, I'm in charge.” My eyes nearly pop out of my head, “You didn’t get in trouble for giving me that album for that cheap, did you? Because I have enough to cover for both--.” He shakes his head, “Nah, I told my aunt, and she was surprised I didn’t just give it to you for free.” I blush, “What does she mean by that?” I look at his cheeks to see that he is scarlet too. “That, um,... Would you want to go bowling with me sometime?” I could not agree faster as we arranged a place and time.
I rush out excitedly after I pay for the ice cream. I have never run up those three flights so fast. “What’s the rush about?” Seokmin asks as I quickly open and shut the door behind me. My smile stretches to both sides of my face as I take off my shoes and coat. “You will not believe what just happened!” Seokmin and Soonyoung exchange a look, and in unison, they both go, "What?" I excitedly tell them all about it after grabbing us each a spoon to dig into our ice cream.
Soonyoung squints and turns to Seokmin and in character goes, “So our grandchild has a date, is what I’m hearing?” I nod at Soonyoung, and he says, “They grow up so fast, one moment you are nursing them from heartbreak. Next thing you know, they are going out on a date, Pa.” Seokmin lets out a wanton whine, “Once you were heartbroken, and now you are moving on. They really do grow up fast, Ma!” We cannot help but laugh as we finish up our ice cream. “Well, good night, Ma and Pa. I have a big day tomorrow and need to rest.” They turn both squinting and say, “What was that? Come again, sweetheart?” I laugh as I come up to them and yell, “I’ll be going to bed now!” They pat me on the back, and Soonyoung says, “That’s nice, honey, don’t forget to blow out the oil lamp! We can’t afford to leave those running too long!” I shake my head at their antics and head to my room and bid them a good night. “Good night, (Y/n)!” They yell in unison, choosing to stay up and watch another movie.
I look up at my ceiling and groan, ‘I’m falling for a guy, and I don’t even have his number!’ I shake my head and rollover. I pull the blanket tightly over myself as I delve into the warmth and fall asleep in a manner of minutes. When I wake up, I am so excited for my shift to be over at the diner more than usual. All because I have a date with Wen Junhui at seven.
No matter what happened at my shift, nothing could wipe the grin off of my face. Well, except for that one customer from earlier, other than them, my heart is bursting at the seams. When all of a sudden, he comes in and is sat down in my section. “(Y/n)?” “Jun.” We just kind of stare at each other before he gestures for me to sit across from him. “I was expecting to see you later, but it’s nice to see you now.” I tell him, and he smiles at me, “I never knew you worked here. I usually come in later in the evening, but because of our date, I decided on coming in earlier.” I nod, “I usually work the morning shift, so that’s why we have never seen each other here.” He nods, “I guess I’m just gonna have to eat an early dinner more often.” I blush as he smirks, and he tells me what he would like. When I hand it over to the chef, my friend, the shift manager, nudges me, “If you want, you can get an early start to your date. He is the one I have heard about from Seok and Soon, right? I’ll cover for you since he is our only customer.” I blush again and nod and head to the back and throw my hoodie over my work shirt.
I order some food and make my way back to his table. He raises his brow. “I thought you were on shift?” Before I can answer, my shift manager, brings out the milkshakes we ordered. “Two chocolate milkshakes for the lovely couple if you need anything, feel free to ask!” I look over at Jun and see his ears are red, “She’s covering for me since you are the only customer right now.” He grins, “Well, I have to say I’m glad she is covering for you.” I agree and open my straw and push it into the milkshake. Taking a sip from it when I ask, “So how come I have never run into you at the gas station?” He finishes sipping his shake and says, “Oh, I recently picked that job up. I am usually twitch streaming.” I smile, “Ah, that’s really cool! What kind of games do you play?” He shrugs, “Anything from Among Us to Super Mario Cart, whatever the fans request the day I’m playing it.” I grin, “Is there a favorite game you have?” He nods and starts telling me all about the little dynamics and how it made him fall in love with gaming. I can’t help but smile as I listen to him talk about his passion. I make a mental note to talk about video games more with him. Especially phone games, he hooks up a converter to his computer so his fans can see it with ease. But there are some games keeps to himself like Neko Atsume, the little cats he cares for. My heart warms at the sight of the cats on the screen as he shows me. I remind myself to buy his favorite cat, Ginger, as a stuffed toy later.
Once our food comes out, he asks, “What do you like to do? Or do as a profession?” I smile, “Other than here. You can find me [hobby]!” As we eat, I tell him why it is my favorite and how my father got me into it, and it has gone on from there. Until I was eventually like, ‘what if I made money off of it?’ It doesn’t make me enough money to keep me from working here. But it makes me happy, and it counts even if it never makes me money. He tells me he feels the same way about his video games as we finish up our dinner.
Before I can go back and do the rest of my shift, my friend tells me she will hold down the fort. “He looks like a keeper, don’t let this place get in the way between you and happiness. Plus, isn't your date like in an hour?” Remind me not to work a later shift next time. I come back to the table, and he asks when he will get the bill for his food. And I shrug, “Consider it on the house tonight.” He smiles, and I tell him I get to go home earlier, but I still need to change. He tells me I look nice the way I’m dressed. I shake my head, “Thank you, but I want to look even nicer for our date.” He smiles, “If you say so, I don’t mind either way. Did you walk here?” I nod as we get out of the diner and, I point to the apartment complex right across the street. “You guys got one right in the smack middle of town. Now, that is convenient.” I nod as we make our way up to my apartment. “I want to let you know my roommates are a handful.”
He nods as I unlock the door to my apartment. Seokmin looks up from the couch and calls Soonyoung down. Soonyoung slides down the rail and heads over to introduce himself. I beat him to the punch and introduce the three. “Soonyoung?!” Jun exclaims excitedly, as Soonyoung exclaims, “Jun?!” with equal excitement. They hug each other as Seokmin, and I look bewildered at the scene. Seokmin asks, “Wait,... you two know each other?” Soonyoung nods frantically, “Remember back in 6th grade when I went to that dance camp?” We both nod, “I met him on the first day, and our hip-hop team went to regionals!” I gawk, “Didn’t you guys end up winning?” Jun nods, “If it was not for Soonyoung being our leader, I think we would have ended up losing.” Soonyoung smirks, “You weren’t so bad yourself! I didn’t think I would ever get to see you again, man!” Jun tells him how he moved in with his aunt recently and how it would be cool to hang out again. I pat Jun on the shoulder and say, “Well, I’ll let you guys get reacquainted while I go get changed.” They all nod as I head up to my room.
I throw on a different pair of jeans and a shirt suitable for bowling. I smile at my outfit before throwing my shoes and coat back on. I come back downstairs to see them all conversing on the couch. I wave, and Jun’s jaw drops. I blush, I didn’t do much to my appearance, yet he is acting as if I am dressed in designer clothes. “I’d love to keep catching up with you Soonyoung, and it was nice meeting you Seokmin. But I have a rather stunning date to bowl with, so if you don’t mind, we will be heading out now.” He says as he strides over to me and grabs my hand in his. My heart is hammering in my chest as I wave goodbye to the boys, and they yell, “Have a good time!” As we exit and I already know I will.
We walk to the bowling alley, chatting away as we turn down the block, and I hold the door open for him. He walks in and says, “Let’s get our shoes, shall we?” I nod as we head up to the counter and tell him our shoe sizes. As we change our shoes, I ask, “Don’t you feel like a clown when you wear them?” He laughs, “Yeah, they are my size, but they feel like fifty feet long.” I laugh as he pulls me up and spins me. I shake my head at his antics, my smile wide as we go over to the bowling balls and pick out two.
“Alright, what lane?” I ask, and he says “Three?” I agree and head over and pick out our names. “Junbug?” He says with a laugh, and I smile at him as I give myself a cute name. He asks, “Should we put up the bumpers (Y/n)?” I laugh, “Scared of gutter balls?” He shrugs, “Maybe,...” I smirk and roll my first ball, and it did not go as expected. I wanted to show off and strike out to impress him. But strike out I did, I hit one pin that didn’t fall over and fell right into the gutter afterward. I look up and around and whistle, “You meant to do that, huh?” I roll my eyes, “Maybe~” He laughs as my ball finally comes back out. I grab it and put all my hope into the ball and throw it down the lane. I knock down seven pins and let out a sigh of relief that’s not too bad. He strides up his striped shirt matching the striped bowling ball as he rolls the ball down the lane and makes a strike. I cannot help but gawk, “Show off!” He smirks, “Only for you!” I shake my head, and he pulls me up for my next roll.
This time was more successful since I knocked down six pins and hit the other four on the second roll. We high five and continue playing, when I finally get a strike on the last round. I jump and cheer, and all of a sudden, I am lifted up off the ground. Jun jumps up and down with me as we celebrate. He settles me down on the floor before he looks down at my lips and back up at my eyes. My eyes flitting between the two of his as I bring him into a kiss. The butterflies in my stomach erupt as he pulls me closer. The excitement of throwing a strike coursing through my veins along with the high of kissing Jun makes me feel electric. When we break apart, I cannot help but smile. As I wink at him, “Your turn!”
He grins and throws down his bowling ball with a renewed vigor and gets a strike as well. I jump up from my seat and spin the two of us around. We hold each other, and he decides it is his turn and brings my lips in for a kiss. My heart beats faster as it tries to process the overwhelming amount of joy in my body. We spin around and face away from the lanes. I see an arcade peeking out in the back. I point towards it after we check our scores and see that Jun won this round. He nods as we rush over to the arcade, still sporting our bowling shoes. We decide to duke it out in a racing game. Which I surprisingly won and jumped around cheering. He shrugs, “I guess I’ll buy lunch?” I nod, “I’ll buy the drinks.” He agrees as we head over to the little snack station and order a medium pepperoni pizza with two cokes.
We head over to our bowling lane table and chat while eating our pizza. “I cannot believe you’re friends with Soonyoung!” He tells me, and I go, “I was about to say the same thing!” He asks me, “When did you meet Seok and him?” I grin, “Ah, I met them in first grade, and we have been steadfast friends ever since. I cannot believe I didn’t meet you sooner, with how much Soon talked about that place!” He grins, “I moved in last month, but she told me that he always comes down to the shop to burn his CDs for his dance students.” I laugh, “Yeah, he’s the one that showed me the little store if I knew you were there,... I would have come in sooner.” He smiles, “Well, you can see me anytime you want now.” I grin at him, “And I’m so happy about that!” He smiles, and I finish off my second slice, as he tells me, “Me too.”
Our conversation lulls to a halt as the sounds of pins getting knocked down fill in the silence. My brain isn’t desperately thinking of something to fill the void rather it feels comfortable. I feel at ease as I say, “Second game is on me?” Jun smirks and yells, “You’re on!” As we finish up the box of pizza. Tossing the box in the garbage as we take another sip of our cokes before starting the next round. As the game progresses, I’m doing quite well with three strikes to my nickname and four splits. I have to say it is quite an improvement. With three rounds left to go, we are neck and neck with a tie. If I can get two splits and a strike, I have it in the bag. Who would have guessed after I threw a strike, he would as well? He smirks at me as he sits back down, and I gulp as my gut starts begging for a win as my nerves get all riled up not only from the game but from Jun’s smirk. I suck in a breath as I throw down my next ball, and I could not believe my ears when the screen yells strike as the pins come down. No way, two in a row?! I get all giddy as I let out my breath and shout, “Beat that!” He winks, and with a pep in his step, he lands another strike. How much closer could this game get?! I beg every bone in my body to follow through and land one more strike. “Come on, baby. You can do it” I can’t tell if the encouragement came from Jun or me as I shake off my nerves as I throw the bowling ball. My nerves get the best of me as I turn around, choosing not to look at the lane, and see if I will get one last strike. I don’t have to look to know when I hear the overhead yell out, ‘Strike! Three in a row!’ Jun pats my shoulder as he sets up for the perfect roll, he sends it down, and my heart thumps wildly. He hits every pin, and he starts to cheer. When the seventh pin is resilient and stands back up, neither of us can believe our eyes. He looks at me as if to say, ‘is this game rigged'? Once his ball pops back up, he shoots it down, ready to celebrate a split. When his striped ball decides differently, and just as it is about to hit the pin, it goes down the gutter.
We both gasp, and he drops to the floor on his knees. I come up behind him and wrap my arms around him, “Damn, the seventh pin does not like you.” He groans, “Shit, we would have had a perfect tie too.” I lean over his shoulder and see his cute pout and decide to kiss it. When I pull away, “I guess that made up for it.” I sit in front of him and the lane and kiss him again. He wraps his arms around me and pulls us up. “Maybe I should have lost sooner if I knew this was the reward.” I laugh and kiss his nose. We pull away, and I let out a yawn causing him to yawn as well. We return our shoes and head home for the night. Back in our sneakers, he bumps my hand twice before I catch the hint and grab his hand, and he intertwines our fingers.
We walk home laughing the whole way to his aunt’s house. “I could not believe you threw a gutter ball the last round!” He groans, “Don’t remind me, ughhh that was embarrassing!” I nudge him, “Especially in front of the person you like?” He nods, “I guess it was not as bad as hitting one pin that didn’t fall and going right into a gutter to show off.” He pushes me back, and I laugh, and he leans on my shoulder as I wrap my arm around him. He smiles, “You're cute, you know?” I blush, “Not as cute as you.” He laughs before standing back up straight, and we swing our hands up high and back down. When we reach his house, I pull him in for one last kiss. He pulls away, “I’ll see you next time, (L/n) (Y/n)?” I wink at him and say, “I’ll see you then, Wen Junhui.” I blow him a kiss, and he catches it and puts his hand to his cheek. As we wave each other goodbye, I cannot wait to tell the boys about our date.
“You kissed how many times, and you still don’t have the man’s number?!” Soonyoung yells in shock as I hush him down, not wanting our neighbors to have a hissy fit this late at night. “Well, do you have his number?” Soonyoung gapes at me like a fish, “You have me there.” Seokmin shakes his head and heads up to bed. I grumble, “My point exactly!” He shakes his head and laughs, and he tells me about Jun. The more I get to know him, the more I fall for him. “Why don’t you visit him tomorrow and ask for his number?” I agree that is a good plan, and with that, Soonyoung heads up to his room. I drink a glass of water and replay the events of the evening, and my heart cannot help but jump around.
I go downstairs at eightish and see Seokmin pulling on his shoes for his shift, and he says, “Where are you off to?” I reply, “Off to Jun!” He yells, “But, it’s not even March!” We both laugh, and I slip my shoes on and go grab two coffees, figuring Jun wouldn’t be awake this early. The little bell rings in the shop, and I'm surprised to see they are open this early. His aunt greets me with a huge smile and asks, “You’re looking for Jun, aren’t you, sweetheart?” She introduces herself as Aunt Winnie, and I introduce myself, and she tells me how nice it is to meet me. "It's nice to meet you too,..." She points behind the counter at the door and tells me, "His room is to the left when you get up the stairs.” I nod and head up the stairs and knock on his door before entering. His room is large, with a gaming desk and chair tucked in the corner, and his bed sits in the middle of the room. The large windows cast a bright yellow into the room through the shades. He is underneath a pile of blankets as I knock again from the inside. He turns over, pulling the covers down from over his face, and looks over at me. His hair is all mussed up, and he has tired eyes. I cannot help but think of how good he looks as he finally looks up to see who is standing in his bedroom waiting for him. When he settles upon my face, he jumps up and brushes his fingers through his hair, and adjusts his PJs. “Did my aunt let you up here?” I nod, and he shakes his head, “She could have given me a warning so I could fix myself up.” I shrug, “You look fine just the way you are.” He smiles as he throws the covers off and swings his legs over the bed, and gestures for me to sit next to him. I hand him his coffee and take a sip from mine, “I came over to get your number.” He winks, “Am I that irresistible?" Before he shakes his head and tells me, "I thought I forgot something!” I laugh and pull my phone out of my pocket. While Jun reaches over me, taking his phone off charge and off of his nightstand. I hand him mine as he hands me his phone, and we type in our information and exchange a cute little hi.
I hand him back his, and he hands me back my phone. He stretches out and takes another sip of his coffee. We text each other a few messages, laughing between ourselves. Oh, how I could listen to him laugh for the rest of my life. He sends me another message before I can finish typing my last reply. As I hit send, I finally catch what he says, “I enjoyed our date last night. What do you say to being in a relationship with me?” I throw my phone down on his bed and shout, “Yes!” He laughs as I wrap my arms around him and hug him. He throws his phone down as well, “What do you say I take you out, now?” I gawk, “Now?” He nods, and he grabs a pair of pants and chooses to wear his hoodie out. He gestures for me to turn around as he throws on his jeans. He pulls on my hand and pulls me up from his bed. We hastily grab our phones, and he drags me down the stairs behind him. He yells, “Bye, Aunt Winnie! We will be back later!” I hear her laugh as she tells us to be careful and have fun.
When we finally exit the record store, I ask, “Where are we going?” With a laugh bubbling up from my stomach that I cannot help but let out. He smiles and cannot help but laugh as his eyes scrunched up as he pulls me into him. I gasp as he kisses me, and I quickly kiss back. “It feels so good to do that.” He tells me once we pull apart, and I cannot help but agree. I rub my nose against his, my heart singing a melody, happy to be finally with Jun. He tells me, “Dancing?”
I nod, and we don't leave the sidewalk as we dance around together. Enjoying the tunes that are filtering out of his aunt’s store. Our laughs grow loud into the morning, like birds when they find their mate. I drag him behind me this time, racing down the alleys before we finally reach the park. He matches my pace, and we race over to swings. We spent the whole day together, and I am so glad I don't have work today. I would not want to miss being with Junhui for a second. When the sun starts to go down, he takes me back to his aunt’s place. Telling me that he will be back in a moment as he runs up to his room to grab his car keys.
He unlocks the door for me, and we hop in, and my heart beats rapidly. “Where do you want to go?” I smile, “Wherever you want to take me,” which leads to him mindlessly driving us around. He tells me, “You know that night at the Gala, the night we met? I was coming over to talk to you before you went to sit with your friends. I was going to follow your method of dipping a brownie in the fountain.” I can’t help but laugh, “You saw that?” He grins, “When I saw you approaching me, I thought I was in a dream. When it turned out to be a reality, my heart leaped in my chest. I was so mad when I realized I didn’t give you my number.” I shake my head, “Me neither I kicked myself for that one quite a few times. I am so glad we changed that.” He nods, “Me too.”
I tell him, “I saw you standing where I was just moments before. My friends caught me staring at you and urged me to go up to you. I have to say it has been the best decision I made since I have gotten over my ex.” He smiles, “Whoever your ex is, is missing out on you? I couldn’t imagine missing out on you.” I grin and ask him when he was in a relationship last? He answers simply, “About four months ago I never thought I would love again. But,...” I nod, “Me too. It wasn't until you came along that I,...” He smiles as he grabs my hand. I intertwine our fingers as he parks us behind a bunch of establishments. He reclines his seat back, and I match him and let our arms swing back and rest our hands on the backseat. I look over at him and catch him doing the same thing. We stared at each other for a few minutes before I let him know, “You have the most beautiful eyes.” His whole face goes scarlet, “Mine? Have you seen yours! I could get lost in them for eons and never wish to come back.” I bring his hand over to my lips and kiss the back of it. If his cheeks could turn any redder, they would.
And that is how I find myself falling more and more in love with Wen Junhui. Spending moments like these with him, whether it be going out on dates or visiting each other at work. Always finding an excuse to see each other. Although it wasn't only us hanging out all the time, sometimes the other two would join in. Unlike Mingyu, who my friends hated, my friends adored Jun and are close with him. My two worlds melded perfectly together. Jun makes me feel like I am the only one in the world. I always let Jun know how much I appreciate and love him. He tells me he already knows but that it is nice to hear me say it out loud. I can't help but shake my head and kiss him. It has been a year since we have gotten together, and it has been the best year of my life.
Mingyu made me feel as though I would never find someone who would care about me as I cared about them again. But then along came Jun, and how wrong the feeling Mingyu gave me was. Every second I spend with Jun, I find that I am falling more and more in love with him each second. Jun makes me laugh even in the morning and when I feel tired. While with my best friends, we leave each other alone for the first twenty minutes that the other is up. With Jun the second one of us sees each other awake. We are talking about a dream or what the sun was doing before the other woke up. I’m so glad that I am no longer with Mingyu and that I’m getting to experience love with Jun.

Joshua X Reader
Requested: hiii for your christmas request things can i request #18 with joshua from svt? thank youuu hehe happy holidays!! 💖💝💘💕💓💗
Prompt: 18. Receiving a knitted Christmas sweater from your bias (lover's) mom.
We're heading to Joshua's childhood home right now. I'm going to meet his parents for the first time. It's fair considering that he met my parents last month. I close my eyes trying to calm my nerves down as I lean against the car door window.
I start reminiscing about how I met Joshua. It was our sophomore year of college and I was starting to go up the stairs. He slipped on the top stair and it sent him tumbling down towards me. I immediately sprung into action picking up his books, papers, and pens. He was clutching his head in pain and I asked him if he was alright and he let out a strained, 'no'. I wrapped an arm around him supporting what weight I could and it was already clear that he had a limp. At the time it was the first week of our sophomore year.
When we made it to the nurse, I turned to leave him with his books. He reached out and grabbed my hand asked me to stay with him. He sprained his ankle and had one hell of a concussion. "What's your name?" "(Y/n)." He smiles and tells me, "Thank you, I'm Joshua by the way." I smiled back and that was the start of our relationship.
It was about three days later when we realized we had geometry together. We started by coming over to each other's dorms to work on math projects. When we weren't procrastinating or playing darts, we were quite productive together. Then our relationship evolved to the point where we didn't need math as an excuse to come over. Where we were seeing one another because we wanted to see the other. He would play his guitar for me and I would show him my artwork. The more we visited each other the more I realized I was falling for him.
One thing led to another and we ended up making out on his bed to some obscure indie artist. His RA opened the door, locked eyes with us, shook his head, and shut the door. Needless to say, we ended up confessing our growing feelings to each other.
We've been dating ever since, I couldn't believe I ended up with a guy like Joshua. Someone whose heart was pure and kind. Who treated me with the utmost respect. My heart feels full whenever I'm around him. But meeting his parents makes me nervous. I know what to expect from my parents but they are unfamiliar territory. When Joshua walked in on Thanksgiving, my mother proclaimed; "You must be Joshua, we've heard such good things about you." My father immediately pulling him into a hug with a proud look on his face welcoming Joshua into the family.
While I have had a phone conversation with his mother after he fell. Telling them about his injury probably wasn't the best introduction. But I knew his banging head couldn't handle a phone call. Worrying his parents as they asked me how he fell and who I was. Trying to get them to calm down and letting them know their son was going to be okay was difficult. I promised his mother that, 'Yes, I would walk him to his dorm and make sure he is okay’. Since then, I haven't talked to them only getting to know them through Joshua.
They seem nice and caring but I'm nervous because I want to make a great impression. Knowing that my first impression wasn't the best. Joshua places his hand on my knee and I open my eyes to look over at him. "Don't worry baby, they're going to love you." It dispels most of my nerves, I place my hand over his and rub circles into it. He flips his hand over and I intertwine our fingers together.
I look at the backseat for our presents. I squeeze his hand, he smiles and squeezes my hand three times. I smile over at him as we pull into his driveway. I gulp down my nerves as we get out of the car, I open the back passenger door and grab the presents. He walks up to the front door and rings the doorbell. Out comes his mom and she grins, “Oh, honey I’m so glad you’re home!” She brings Joshua in for a hug and looks over to where I am. “You made them carry all the presents?!” She swats at him and grabs a few off of the top and brings them in.
Once I get to set the presents down, she says, “Oh my gosh, when he said you were beautiful, he wasn't kidding. I remember when he told me he started dating you,... I can’t believe you didn’t bring them home sooner, Shua!” She squints over at her son and back at me, “Sorry mom--” She chuckles, “Oh, they’re already here!” His father gasps from the top of the stairs and rushes down. “Oh, you must (Y/n)! It is such a pleasure to meet you! Honey, don’t you have something to give them?” I look over to Joshua with a raised brow and he grins. The two of them gesture for us to sit on the couch. His father sitting down next to him and his mother approaches me with a gift in her hand.
She hands it over to me and says, “Open it up, deary!” I nod and untie the bow and peel off the pieces of the tape and open the packaging to reveal a sweater. I turn it to face me and it’s a knitted sweater with my initial on the front. Tears well up in my eyes as I hug his mom tightly, “Thank you so much!” She hugs me back just as tight, “It’s no problem deary, thank you for taking care of Joshua. Please be with him for a long time, he needs someone like you.” She whispers in my ear and I throw the sweater on over my shirt. “It’s so soft,” I whisper and they all grin at me as we exchange the rest of our gifts. “Welcome to the family, (Y/n)!” His father exclaims as they pull together Christmas dinner.
Joshua grabs my hands and tells me, “I told you they would love you.” I smile and say, “You’re right, thank you, I love you, Shua Hong.” He kisses my nose, “I love you too, (N/n) (L/n).” I bring his hand up to my lips and place a chaste kiss on it. “Let's help your parents make Christmas dinner.”

Jihoon X Reader [(Mentioned Seungkwan X Vernon) Brother! Seungcheol]
Requested: Hey, hey, I wanted to request Seventeen Woozi and #9 if it's still open! ^^
Prompt: 9. “It’s past cuffing season… Where’s my cute partner that I spend the holidays with?"
After third-wheeling my best friend and his partner for the past week. I decided I had enough and with that, I flopped onto the couch. Jihoon came over and asked me what was wrong, “I watched my best friend Seungkwan makeout with Vernon every other minute while we were hanging out,... I’m doing dandy.” He laughs, “That’s rough for you.” I shake my head, Jihoon is my brother’s best friend. And to say I’ve been in love with him for the past few years would be an understatement.
It wasn't until I was in my senior year of high school when I realized I had a crush on him. I went over to their place for the first time and he saw me and waved and struck up a conversation with me. My heart went, ‘that’s Jihoon? and you didn't tell us about him before'? I moved into their apartment because Seungkwan’s apartment was big enough to be a kid's bedroom. They had three rooms and one bath, and I was not about to turn down a cheaper rent payment either.
He knew I had early shifts, and he would always make an extra cup for me. Knowing he would pull all-nighters I made sure to have a stash of energy bars for him, so he wasn't only relying on coffee. When I can’t sleep, and Jihoon is up and typing away on his computer. He will gesture for me to come over and talk to him about it. Whenever I seek comfort, I go to him, and he never fails to make me feel better. Whether it be deep or meaningless conversations, he is someone I can talk to, and he feels the same way about me.
He pokes my side, trying to get me to turn over and look over at him. I decide on grumbling into the couch, and he says, “Come again?” I sigh, moving my head from between the cushions to look him in the face. “It’s past cuffing season...Where’s my cute partner that I spend the holidays with?” He shrugs and gestures for me to move over. I sigh and lean on his shoulder. We sit like that in comfortable silence until Seungcheol comes barging in. “Guess who just got himself a date?” I look over at Jihoon and groan into his shoulder. Jihoon can’t help but laugh at me, and Seungcheol asks, “What’s wrong with them?” Jihoon shakes his head and says, “They are upset about not having a date for the holidays.” I look up and catch Seungcheol’s eyes and he goes, “Sucks to suck I guess.” I look up at the ceiling, “Why do you forsake me this way.” They laugh at my agony, “Anyway, you want to hear all about her?”
I exchange a look at Jihoon, and we both roll our eyes, “Sure, why not.” I say with a shrug of my shoulder, and he happily bounds over and tells us about his date. “She sounds lovely and you sound completely enamored.” He nods, “She asked me my favorite flower the other day. She brought them in and asked me out on a date. I’m in love,...” I furrow my brows, “How long ago did you meet them?” He smiles, “A few weeks ago,...” Jihoon says, “Well, if you’re that in love with her, then we’ll have to meet her.” He nods, “Well, to be sure I’m going to wait like five dates.” I nod, and Jihoon tells him that’s reasonable. Seungcheol skips up to his room, and Jihoon asks, “What are you thinking about for dinner?” I shrug, “Eh,... why don’t we check what’s in the kitchen?”
--
It’s drawing closer to Christmas by the moment, and I still got no one to bring home for the holidays. But Seungcheol does, and she’s so nice and pretty. I haven’t liked a lot of his partners, but she seems like a keeper. And if Jihoon and I can both agree on that, it means Seungcheol better take care of them. Seungcheol was happy to have our approval, and now he gets the chance to show off to our parents.
I finished up buying Christmas presents for everyone, including Seungcheol’s girl. After wrapping them, I'm placing the presents under the tree into separate piles. When I hear someone clear their throat behind me, I look up to see Jihoon, and I let out a ‘hi’. He smiles, “I um,... I know you don’t have anyone to be with on Christmas, neither do I,...” he trails off and sighs, “What I’m trying to say is,... I’ve harbored feelings for you for a while. And I was wondering if you did too?” I can’t help the smile from breaking out across my face. I stand up in front of him and wrap my arms around him, “Yes, yes I do, Jihoon.” His arms, wrapping around my waist, pulling me further into him.
When we release each other from the hold, our cheeks are fiery red. Our arms are still around each other as we go in to kiss each other. When Seungcheol comes bounding down the stairs. “OH-oh,... I mean I was expecting this, but, but, not right now. Um? Should I leave?” I look at Jihoon, and we both shake our heads and laugh. We break apart, and Seungcheol stands in front of us and says, “Alright, so I’m totally cool with this. If you guys do happen to break up this is going to leave me between a rock and a hard place. Because you’re my sibling and you’re my best friend. So you guys have to stay together.” We both shrug, “I think that’s the plan.” He grins and claps us both on our shoulders and says, “Thank God. Now you won’t be the sibling without a date.” I glare over at Seungcheol.
Jihoon shakes his head and ignores Seungcheol and asks me, “Where do you want to go for our first date?” I grin, “Wherever you are, I’m happy.” Seungcheol looks between you too, “So McDonald’s?” We both glare over at him and he puts his hands up in defense, “I’ll be over at--” We nod, “Yeah, we could guess that.”

Farmer!Soonyoung X Male!Reader
Requested: Can i have mreader with hoshi no 20
Prompt: 20. You spin out on ice into some farmers land at night. And guess who comes to your rescue.
(The crash is based on a real story,... I was listening to Thursday by Got7 and yeah,... but I had four wheel drive tho…)
When I was younger, I decided to leave the small rural town where I grew up. I left everything behind when I moved out for college and into Seoul. My parents encouraged my dreams, making sure I pursued them, not wanting me to have regret. The vast difference was astounding, while everyone knew each other back home. No one would even take a second glance at you here. Plus, the accent had taken me three steps back, and I didn’t even know we had an accent! Fitting in was hard at first, once I got in the swing, oh how I enjoy the city. But, the depth of my soul craves home. With that in mind, I call my parents up and tell them I’ll be home for Christmas.
I miss my friends from my hometown, and one, in particular, is Soonyoung. Well, I would consider him more than a friend. I grew up about three houses away. He was the only other kid on the street. He is about a year older than me, but we started school at the same time. We were inseparable, up until high school, where a few things changed. He went to pursue his talents, and I worked hard to pursue mine. Of course, we still hung out outside of school. But when it came to school time, we were on opposite sides of the building. Quite literally, my classes were in the west wing, and his were in the east wing. Both of our parents have been close since mine moved into the neighborhood. Which meant we would be over each other’s houses to eat dinner on the weekend.
We would spend that time catching up, yet, to only call him my best friend, would be incorrect. Because I had a major crush on him, my heart viewed him in a special light. Then we decided to go to a barn party, one of the kids in our grade was hosting. It was going well, I made a few new friends, and we played a game of truth or dare together. It wasn't until they dared us to kiss each other when I realized my feelings were more than friendly. He pulled me onto his lap, and the people hollered around us. I placed my hands on his cheeks as he held me close. When he kissed me, choirs sang, and when we pulled away. The look in his eyes was breathtaking we awkwardly backed away from each other. Because that's not what best friends do right?
About a week later, I would hear him tell his friends, 'a dare is a dare, alright?' My heart broke at the thought, but I knew it was fishy. He proclaimed he was straight, but with the way, he kissed me,... Yeah, Soonyoung, you’re definitely straight. And I’m a one-eyed, one-horned, flying purple people eater. My heart thumped in my chest as he kissed me for the first time in that red barn. He took my breath away, and to say I was the same after that would be wrong.
It was a few weeks before I left for the city when he told me. “I uh,... I’m bisexual.” I accepted him with my whole heart, and I told him my orientation, and he held me in his arms. How I wanted to kiss him right then and there, but I knew if I did, it would make it hard to say goodbye. It was already hard to say goodbye, but if I had that added on top of this. It would have unpacked my bags and stayed here with him in our hometown. He wished me luck in the big city, and that was the last I heard of him.
As I drive home, the snow barrels down, the big flakes don’t stick to the pavement. Especially, with the high amounts of traffic around here. So, used to the city salt and constant plowing; that I forgot how dreadful the conditions were in the rural town. When I enter my town that I haven’t stepped a foot in for five years now, my favorite song comes on. I turn it up and sing along to the lyrics. I see powder snow patches along the street and don’t pay much mind to them. My car makes noise as I go over them and roll my eyes continuing to yell the lyrics as I approach a curve. Around the curve, is a thick layer of powder snow, forgetting that ice likes to hang out underneath it. When I realize I hit a big patch of ice, it’s too late, and I overcorrect into the opposite lane. I gulp and quickly correct back into my lane. When all of the sudden I realize I turned too hard and end up going right into farmland. With my foot on the brake, I feel the car nearly flip. As it hits the ditch, and when it finally comes to a stop, I can’t help but sigh in relief. I rest my head on the steering wheel, and that’s when the flood of emotions hits me full speed. If there is one thing I miss from the city right now, that would be the plowed streets.
I quickly call my parents, telling them I crashed my car on farmland. My father, asking if I’m okay and if I needed him to pick me up. When I see in my side mirror someone pulling up towards my car. I start crying even harder, afraid that because I’m on their land, that they will take me behind their barn and shoot me. “Honey bear, you’re going to be just fine. Everyone around here knows you and would never dare to kill you if they wanted to live.” I calm down a bit when I recognize the person walking towards my car that my fears quail. I tell my parents that I’ll call them later as I roll down my window. “Soonyoung?” He looks shocked to see me and he asks if I have four-wheel drive in my car. I shake my head ‘no’, and he smiles, “Alright give me a second I'm gonna go get the big tractor." I nod and wipe the tears from my face, knowing Soonyoung will help me out.
He runs off towards the big barn and comes back out with a tractor. He hooks up my front end to the back end of the tractor. He comes over to my window and explains, “All I want you to do is follow me with your steering wheel, okay? If I turn, I want you to turn with me, can you do that? Also, make sure you are in neutral!” I gulp and nod I have never gotten towed in my life. He smiles and jumps into the tractor, and I see his face in his rearview mirror when he adjusts it to see me. He gives me a thumbs up, which I copy. I start my car and put it in neutral, and he proceeds to pull me out of the snow. He turns right, and I follow with ease once he has my car in the driveway. He hops out of the tractor and smiles, and I smile back as he unhooks us.
He drives the tractor back into the barn comes back with a smile still on his face; "Well this was a funny way of seeing you. Are you going home to see your parents?" I nod, and I ask him where his parents are. They had to have heard the commotion? He tells me he’s alone for the holidays, that they went on vacation. I shake my head, “No, you can’t be alone for the holidays! You know what? I’m positive that my parents wouldn’t mind feeding another!” He shrugs, “Well if you’re offering,...” I nod, gesturing towards my passenger seat once, he hops in, I drive the rest of the way home with caution.
“What have you been up to?” I ask him curiously, and he says, “Well, my father gave me the land, and that’s what I’ve been up to for the past few years. It’s weird living alone in your childhood home.” So much has happened in the time I have left, “What do you mean they left?” He shrugs, “They gave me a house and moved into a new one, across from your parent’s house.” I blink at him, my parents didn’t tell me, but I knew they would say, ‘it wasn’t important’. He tells me, “Enough about me, what about you? What’s life in the big city?” I smile and tell him, “It’s everything I wanted, yet it’s missing something,... at first, I thought it was the town. But I know the real answer, now.” I look over at him and give him a shrug as he had given me.
I take a deep breath in as I pull into my driveway, and he places a hand on my knee. “There’s nothing to worry about, you know that right?” I nod, and he smiles at me, “I know it’s weird to be a visitor in your home.” He nods, and we walk up to the door together. I ring the doorbell, and my mother answers and greets me with a big hug. “Oh honey, you brought Soonyoung over?” I nod, “Yeah, his parents went home for vacation!” She smiles and lets us in, “How are my two favorite boys?” We smile at each other and back at her and tell her we are both doing well. My father comes up from the basement. He drops the box he was carrying when he sees the three of us in the living room. He smiles and pulls all three of us into a hug, “Oh, how I missed you guys!” My mom laughs and says, “You saw me three minutes ago!” “Yeah, but anytime away from you, darling is too long.” She blushes, and my heart warms at the sight. “Although I didn’t expect to see you here Soonyoung.” This time he explains how his parents went on vacation. “You were going to be alone!?” He nods, and my father’s jaw drops, “You’re always welcomed over, especially, during the holidays. You don’t have to be alone.” Soonyoung cannot help but smile and hug my dad, “I forget.” My dad ruffles his hair, and my mom says, “Who's thirsty!” We all holler ‘me!’ and rush into the kitchen.
When we are all seated at the kitchen table and drinking hot chocolate. My dad asks, “How did you get out of the snowbank?” I look over at Soonyoung and tell them, “If it wasn’t for him, I would have walked home.” My mom gasps, “You could have just had us pick you up if it came down to it.” I shake my head, “I don’t want to bur--” She shakes her head, “You know you never could.” I nod and feel warmed. For the second time that night, Soonyoung places his hand on my knee to comfort me. I feel at ease as he explains that he watched it all go down. Once my car settled down, he pulled over and ran to make sure whoever it was, was okay. “Do you always drive that way?” He says with a nudge, and I pout. He laughs, “I’m kidding,” I shrug and tell them, “I only drive like that when my favorite song is on.” He agrees, “Me too.” I feel my body ease into the patterns, how I missed weekends like these. Except Soonyoung’s parents usually shared the table with us as well. It still felt comforting, and I can feel that crush coming back full swing.
--
Once we all head up for bed, I invite him into my room, and he says, “Man, it has not changed in here one bit since you left.” I nod, “It feels nostalgic.” He nods in agreement, and we lay back on my bed, our legs dangling off the side. “You know when you left I realized I had a major crush on you that I never took a chance on.” My eyes go wide, and I look over at him, and he says, “When I saw it was you, all those feelings came rushing back.” I gulped trying to find my words. How do I tell him that I feel the same way,... My mind races as I tell him, “Soonyoung, even when I moved to Seoul, I still found myself thinking about you. No one could ever compare to your charming ways, and I feel the same way about you.” He looks down and grabs my hand.
I smile and interlock our fingers, and we turn our heads together. And before we can do anything, my father comes in with a plate of cookies. “OH--! Honey!! It finally happened! You owe me fifteen!” He puts the plate down and takes pictures of us lying together with our hands interlocked. “YES! I am so proud of you two!!” My mother comes rushing in with a big camera and hands my dad fifteen bucks. I ask, “You placed bets?” My dad nods, "Soonyoung's parents did as well, they thought you would be together before you had moved out. So we won that money…" I raise an eyebrow, and Soonyoung says, "You guys saw it happening?" My dad nods, "You guys never exactly acted straight. Plus, word got around that you guys kissed."
I look over at Soonyoung and see his cheeks mirror my red ones. I hear my mom dial someone on the landline. "You will not believe what just happened!!" My dad leaves the cookies in the room and runs down the stairs, shutting the door behind him. I whisper, "Thank you for rescuing me out of the snow." He whispers back, "Thank you for inviting me over." We whisper at the same time, "Thank you for being mine."

Seokmin X Reader
Requested: Anon: Helloo! Can I ask for Seventeen Seokmin + 22?
Prompt: 22. “Why is that white box with holes, meowing/barking?” “Why don’t you go find out?”
Seokmin texts me that he’ll be home in about an hour. While I wait on him to arrive so we can go Christmas shopping, I click on YouTube. Scanning through my watch later list, I stumble upon something that I already watched. Not only is it nostalgia now, but it’s still hilarious seeing as it is the Weekly Idol Special that had idols and their dogs. Mingyu having to chase Aji all over the studio had to be one of the highlights. I click on it, watching it all over again.
It makes me wonder if Seokmin would want a dog of his own. Whenever we get to have Coco over it’s always a blast. We had her over about a week ago because his uncle went out of town and wanted us to watch over her.
-- (Last Week) --
Seokmin is playing tug-o-war with her and just when it seems like Seokmin is going to win. She gives up, letting go with her teeth and it throws Seokmin back. I laugh at the entire situation and go over to Seokmin to help him up and hand Coco a treat. “HEy! Don’t give her treats for bad behavior!!” I laugh even harder, “But I thought it was funny!” He pouts, I lean up and peak his lips, “One treat won’t ruin her sweet calm demeanor, baby.” I sit back and relax on the couch and she hops up on the couch and sits on my lap.
--
I wonder if having Coco over is like having a dog of our own would be like? Of course, Seokmin would be playful as ever no matter what kind of dog we had. But would it be different? Would it be hard to have a dog and balance our schedules enough to take care of them,... I know we could manage having a dog, but that’s not enough. You want to be able to cherish and love the dog you adopt with your whole heart. I know that wouldn’t be hard for Seokmin or me but would our actions fall short in their eyes?
I pout as I watch Sanche and Jooheon interact. Would it be like them, awkward? No offense to Jooheon, I love him like a brother but the relationship he shares with his dog is awkward. Considering his mom is the one that takes care of Sanche. But, if there is one thing I do know about love. Is that you’ll sacrifice almost anything to be with the people you love. I know for a fact that Seokmin and I would find a way to care for and love the dog we adopt. We would find a way to make that dog feel love like we find a way to take of each other.
I’m taken out of my thoughts when the door opens. I jump, “Oh, it’s just you Seok.” He takes off his shoes and sits next to me, “Whatcha watching?” “Oh Coco and you on Weekly Idol.” He grins, “It’s been so long since that came out and it feels like it was yesterday.” I nod, “That’s what I was thinking but maybe it’s because we hung out with Coco last week?” He nods, “Maybe, but you ready to go shopping, honey?” I shut my computer and kiss his cheek, “Born ready.” We put our shoes on and I threw on a coat.

We’ve been to almost every shop in the mall, although different sides of the store. When we agree to meet up at the pet store. He waves excitedly at me when he catches sight of me. I wave excitedly back and we walk inside. We look around at the different breeds, cooing and playing against the glass with some of them. As we watch a few that share a cage tussle and some sleep. A little boy is sitting in front of one of the panes of glass and playing with a Pomeranian puppy. “Honey, is this the one you want?” His mom asks from behind us, “Yes, can we hold him?” She asks the store owner and she brings out the little puppy and they chat about it. “Aww” I coo to Seokmin and he grins and clasps my hand and brings us over to a husky who can’t be more than seven months old. That’s looking at us and pawing at the glass.
I lean into Seok’s chest and we ask to hold her. Before we can even think of purchasing her the mall announces it’s closing and to finish up any last purchases. We pout as the owner has to put her back. Her brown and white fur with ice blue eyes calls out to my weak heart. With Christmas approaching fast, I know exactly what’s on both of our Christmas lists now.
--
I wake Seokmin up early and he whines, “Five more minutes, please” I pout, “But,... it’s Christmas Seok,...” That gets him to shoot right off our bed, “Well, why didn’t you say so!” I shake my head as he races me down the steps. I can’t wait to see his reaction, I bought her the next day while Seokmin was at practice. I told them I’d pick her up on Christmas Eve so she would be an absolute surprise.
“Why is that white box with holes barking?” Seokmin says as he looks under the tree and I grin, “Why don’t you go find out?” He rushes over and hurriedly opens it up to reveal the husky that pawed at the glass for us. He holds her up and cuddles the little thing in his arms. “Oh my god! She’s so cute! How did you get her?” I grin, “Well, when you went to work the day after we saw her,... I went to the mall and adopted her and picked her up yesterday while you were asleep. You crashed after practice so I used it to my advantage.” He pulls me into him and the little husky kisses all over my chin. “What are we going to name her?” I ask her and he says, “Um,... what about Rosie?” I grin and kiss his cheek, “I think Rosie suits her.”
Summary: Setting up a Christmas tree should not be difficult, right?

Seungcheol X Reader
Requested: Hii. ~ Nr. 7 + S.Coups (SVT). 🎄
Prompt: 7. “How the fuck do you set up a Christmas tree?”
It’s our first Christmas by ourselves since we moved out of our parent's house and into an apartment together. Halloween was easy, carving pumpkins and hanging decorations. Thanksgiving was a bit more difficult and if it wasn’t for the virus we would have thrown the towel in. But that is no match for Christmas, not only do we have to make Christmas dinner. We also have to decorate, get presents, drive in snow, the list goes on. But the first priority on the list is a Christmas Tree.
It’s December seventh and we have yet to decorate. Because of yesterday’s shift, I slept in so it doesn’t surprise me when I look over at the clock to see it’s 1 in the afternoon. Seungcheol calls from the living room, “Hey (Y/n)?” I call back, “Yes?” He opens the door and asks, “Do you think we should go get a tree?” I sit up and stretch, “Yeah, just let me get ready.” He nods with a big smile on his face as he goes to put on his shoes.
We walk out of the complex hand and hand. I unlock the car doors and climb into the driver’s seat. “You pick, Fir Premium Trees or Lenox’s Christmas trees?” He taps his chin in thought, “Well, since our apartment isn’t that tall, a six-foot one from Lenox would be fine right?” I nod, “If it’s not we can always trim it right?” He nods, “Yeah, it shouldn’t be that much of a hassle.”
We were so wrong about it not being a hassle. We looked for about an hour before deciding on one. Strapping it down to the roof of the car wasn’t difficult. So, we decided to go Christmas shopping instead of putting the tree up, thinking we would have it down easy. Because we’ve seen our parents do it over twenty-some times each. After hitting about three malls, two shopping centers, and a supermarket, we’re worn out. We shut the doors and get in the car, “We still have to put up the tree.” We groan at the idea, but we both know it has to get done.
Three trips up to our apartment and we have all the shopping bags inside our apartment. Now, we have a tree to haul up to the fourth floor. How I wish to take the elevator, but there is no way in hell it is fitting in that compartment. Four flights of stairs later, we’re huffing and puffing as we lay the tree in the middle of the room.
We sit there for a good minute or two before I look over at him and whisper, “How the fuck do you set up a Christmas tree?” He looks over at me, “I thought you knew…” I shake my head and that leads to a fifteen-minute conversation with my parents. Once I hang up with them I tell Seungcheol, “Okay, we have a tree stand I know that much. That’s the main goal to make it stand. After that, it’s just decorating which we have all the supplies for that as well.” He nods, “Oh, this shouldn’t be too hard at all then.”
I grab the tree stand as Seungcheol unwraps the tree, I help him heave it up again. When I catch sight of the clock, “It’s 8:50, no wonder it’s so dark outside.” I shake my head and lift it up with Seungcheol and try to get it into the tree stand. I look down and realize we missed the tree stand by a mile. I laugh, “Alright let’s go more to the left this time.” He nods and we heave it up again, when we put it down again we hear a clang. I looked down to see that the tree flipped the stand over. I sigh, “Cheol, how about you guide the tree from the top and I’ll hold the stand and guide it in?” He looks down at me and says, “Yeah, that sounds like a better plan, honestly.” I flip the stand back over and move it to the middle again. As we guide it in and try to put it in the stand, I realize that the stand is too small. “Fuck,” I hear the concern in his voice, “What?” I shake my head, “We got too small of a tree stand for this tree.” He groans, “Shit, I used to watch my parents do it every year. It never seemed this hard!” I shake my head and groan and we decide to lean it up against the corner of the room. “Yeah, that’s probably because they had it down to a science--.” He sighs as we try to think of another way to go about it, “Why is the damn thing so heavy? It’s just making it ten times harder to put it in the stand!!” I laugh at Cheol’s whines when an idea hits me, “You know what--. Cheol, we’re putting it in a pot and stuffing the pot so it doesn’t fall over. Because it’s getting later into the night and we have to go to work tomorrow.”
He laughs and I rush to grab a big pot from the kitchen. “Do you think a spaghetti pot will work?” He shakes his head and laughs even harder. “If our parents could see us now.” I laugh with him as we lift the tree together again and place it into the spaghetti pot. “I’ll hold it in place, you get something to hold it in place.” He nods instead of grabbing handfuls of colorful paper, he grabs a white blanket. He stuffs it into the pot and lets it hang out like a tree skirt. “Like my plan?” I nod, “Perfect.”
We search for the lights and after ten minutes we finally have them untangled and can string it around the tree. After that, everything flowed easily, when we finished I wrapped my arm around his back as we walked back from it. “We did a good job.” I look over at him and say, “Good? We did a great job.” He grins, “Yeah, we did.” I put my head on his shoulder and he wraps his arm around me. I ask him, “Are you thinking what I'm thinking?" He smirks, "Next year we're buying a fake tree?" I smirk right back, "Ex-fucking-actly."
