Tim’s new hero name: Cardinal

Cardinal is a good candidate for Tim’s new hero name. I like Tim having a bird themed name to keep his ties to the family, without being too latched onto his previous identity as Robin. Tim needs to be allowed to move on and Red Robin was always supposed to be temporary (and Drake was dumb).

Besides the bird theme Cardinals are one of the only other red birds and I love Tim in red. It’s his color.

Another thing that’s great about Cardinal is the symbolism of the name. And no I am not talking about the religious meaning. I meant Cardinal as in the cardinal directions. Tim’s new hero name could symbolize that he finally knows what direction he wants his life to take now. That he’s moving forwards down a new path, not clinging to an old one. It’s an especially powerful metaphor after he’s been uncertain about what he wants for so long. And it would really help demonstrate his character development.

I also find it funny that Timmy the #1 atheist could have a name with religious connotations lol
