I had a job interview yesterday and I got the job! They offered it to me on the spot! I have another job interview for a different job tomorrow and I'm feeling confident because this one went well.
but I know the interview will be completely different. This one will be a panel interview and less of a conversation. But I keep telling myself I am excited.
So today I met my new care-coordinator...
My previous care coordinator is leaving at the end of the month so I’ve been assigned a new one. Today I met with them both to do a handover. The new one is called Sarah and she seems pretty nice. This was the first time I’d come across her, even though she used to work at the outpatient part of one of the inpatient units I was on once. She said the staff there speak really highly of me, so that’s good to know, but flares up my worries of people talking about me...should be used to it by now I guess. Anyway, I’m seeing my old CCO next Thursday for our final session, then every week from then on I’ll be seeing Sarah. It’s hard building rapports with new people but meh I’ll manage.
In other news, my next tattoo is booked in for Thursday, I’m excited. Will post a picture of it when it’s healed.
Hoping you’re all well, stay golden

Good news!
I had a meeting with my Care Coordinator and the crisis team, the result being that I don't have to see the crisis team anymore! Well, I have to see them and my CCO once a week but hey, I can handle that. Better than seeing them every day and constant phone calls blah. I also went to work today and did my induction paperwork, something that should've been done when I first started but somehow we never got round to it. They also gave me my replacement ID badge...my name was spelt correctly on this one, but the picture on the card was a completely different woman! Like, seriously, I don't know how they managed that. So they're ordering me a new badge- third time lucky hopefully! Going to have an early night as I'm going into work again tomorrow. Goodnight lovely followers, feel free to drop me a message, stay golden. @fighting-the-dark-within
"I'm proud of the work I do as an RN care coordinator. I play an important role in the patient experience, advocating for them and helping them feel safe and secure while in our care. It’s rewarding and brings me joy to see their eyes light up and smiles broaden when they learn they can go home."
Mixay Burney, RN Care Coordinator and Discharge Planner, Hematology
"My daughter was born with a congenital heart defect and is a patient at Nationwide Children’s Hospital. We started out as a Medicaid family that faced so many life and health challenges, but through the family-centered care we have received here, we grew to be a medically stable family. I chose to work at Partners For Kids because I get to be a health advocate for patients and families who have faced similar medical challenges to those my family has faced."
Jessie Beltz, Care Coordinator RN, Partners For Kids
"I enjoy advocating for children and helping create the village to care for them. Partners For Kids allows me to use my personal strengths and my passion together."
Jessica Morgan, RN Care Coordinator, Partners For Kids
