Maybe I'm an asshole but seeing "searching for a little/caregiver" posts, especially from minors, makes me so upset.

You are endangering yourself. You do not know these people. Do they want to take care of you, or do they want you at your most vulnerable? Do they want you to take care of them, or do they want your constant attention and will disregard your feelings for it?

It's not safe and it's so sad to see people so desperate for friends that they'll post it online like it's a job application.

It's not. You need to make friends, not some mysterious caregiver/little you don't actually know. This isn't fear mongering, it's basic internet safety. There's fandoms, local events, online events, where you could meet some cool people. Not on these "applications".

That bond is special, it needs time to develop, it won't happen by selecting buttons on a google forum and being picked out of all those options. It needs patience and care from both sides. There can't be that bond without being friends first, with boundaries you both listen to.

It was almost a year of knowing my best friend before I regressed around them, and then another couple months before I called them momma.

You can't rush feeling safe, you deserve someone who you trust and love. Not someone who will "do the job" because that doesn't feel nice for either parties.

Also: stop advertising your age if you are a child. It doesn't matter if the community is sfw and child safe, predators are everywhere. Basic internet safety.
