hello little love! awh, is someone sleepy? i think it’s time for bed sweetpea…

let’s go through our bedtime checklist together

first, let’s pack up

→ before bedtime, it’s always a clever idea to clean up your space! make sure all your toys are put safely away, and any trash is cleared up. it’s much harder to sleep with in a cluttered space, and we would’t want that. i know cleaning is no fun, but mama will give you a helping hand sweetpea, you’re doing a very good job

now, let’s get a drink/snack

→ drinking water is very important, you gotta stay hydrated! if you want a yummier drink to help you sleep, maybe make some warm angel milk or a sleepy tea. if you’re hungry, grab a snack! we don’t want you to have a grumbly tummy, hm? some tasty ideas are crackers, yoghurt and berries, or a cheese stick

next, let’s head to the bathroom

→ time to brush our teeth! make sure you brush for a full 2 minutes, so your teeth can be suuper sparkly. after brushing, it’s a good idea to floss. this will keep your precious little smile nice and clean!

let’s pick out some pjs and plushie

→ mama will help you to pick out the most snuggly jammies, so you can be all comfy in bed! awh, and don’t forget to grab your most favourite plushie (don’t worry, mama won’t tell the others). if you like to sleep with a paci, let’s pick one out together that matches your pjs!

time to get into bed

→ let’s put the nightlight on, and climb into bed, mama will tuck you in! would you like mama to read you a story, or sing you a lullaby?

a trip to the aquarium

It's saturday morning and you are just waking up from the best rest you've had in a while. Your caregiver stands at the side of your bed, smiling as your heavy eyelids blink slowly at them. "Good morning kiddo, sleep well?" they chuckle and rub your head. "Yes [title].. I had a dream about us!" you sit up, the smell of pancakes fills your nose. "Why don't you tell me all about it while we have breakfast, hmm? After I have a special surprise for you!".

You quickly eat your delicious breakfast and tell your [title] about your dream, making sure not to leave a single detail out! "What a wonderful dream sweetheart! Now about your surprise.. Make sure you grab your shark plush because we're headed to the aquarium today!". You jump up and down with excitement as you rush to grab your shark friend. After getting ready, it's finally time to go to the aquarium!

You pull up to the aquarium, bouncing in the back seat with so much excitement that your caregiver has to remind you to stay seated, it's important to stay safe! Your caregiver opens your door and helps you out of your booster seat, holding your hand as you head to the entrance.

Going into each room to see the different sea animals is so much fun! Each sea animal has a little fun fact written below it with the type that it is, and getting to see your favorite was the most exciting! "[Title] [title] please take another picture of it for me, I want the perfect one! It has to have every angle too [title] don't forget!" you exclaim, pointing at the tank and jumping. "Of course baby, [title] will get as many pictures as my precious kid wants, we gotta make this moment last forever don't we?".

After holding hands and seeing all of the tanks, you head towards the end where you spot the gift store. Tugging gently on your carers shirt, you look up at them with big puppy eyes, "[Title] can we pleaseeee go to the gift store? I want a new plushie!". "Of course baby, I was already planning for that. You did so good today, you deserve a new friend!". You let go of your carers hand and skip ahead a little, your carer reminding you to stay close and hold hands.

After some searching, you find a new buddy, it's perfect! "Now baby, although this was super duper fun, it's time to head home. Let's go introduce your new friend to the others hmm?" your carer picks you and your friend up, carrying you all the way to the car. "I love you, baby. Thanks so much for coming with me on this big adventure, I had so much fun spending time with my kid." your carer whispers gently, noticing your eyes closing as they carry you inside for a nap.
