I love this reversal of roles that happened between Amon and Kaneki after the end of Tokyo Ghoul. Amon became a Ghoul, went live in the Ghouls world and apparently joined Anteiku later. Kaneki "became a human"(Not really, but in his head he is), went live in the human world again and joined CCG.

they’ve always challenged the other’s views with thinking that “this world is wrong” so I’m stoked to see how their reunion will go and where they will go from here on

After seeing the new information in Volume 9, do you think Amon might become as strong as Kaneki in the future? Sometimes I have in my head the image of Kaneki being the person who represented the ghouls and Amon humans (even though he is now a hybrid) in the world where ghouls and humans live together in peace.

I honestly hope Amon becomes as strong as Kaneki in the future, especially since Amon’s name literally means “King of the Gods,” and he was the secondary protagonist for TG, constantly being paralleled and connected to Kaneki throughout the series

I do hope Amon ends up swaying investigators such as Gori into realizing their cause is a fraud or maybe even swaying some ghouls into being more peaceable because right now the battle between Furuta and Kaneki is highly bloody, civilians and ghouls are dying left and right and all their fighting is honestly doing is creating a more polarized atmosphere (which is what Furuta probably wants in the end anyways)

I was now seeing a few curiosities and saw something that spoke about the name of Amon, which comes from an Egyptian God named Amon-Ra. In Egyptian mythology he is the God of the Sun, the light that protected the Egyptians from the demons and etc … and God from all the gods. Does it mean that Amon is still going to do something or some things very important and relevant for the whole story?What caught my attention too was the name. The name Amon-Rá means “The Hidden One”, this makes more sense.

Amon’s name being also a reference to the Egyptian God has been discovered and discussed extensively in the past. I think if you do browse previous metas, you will find plenty.

I do think and believe Amon still has a lot to do in the series. Let’s hope for the best.

Have you ever stopped to think that Akira is unconscious all this time, and when she wakes up she will realize that is on the side of ghouls, Kaneki killed Arima, Amon is gone (again), etc ...? Am I crazy to see her reaction about all this.
