✏️ Imagine my surprise when I went to grab Elijah and his family, only to find he’s in a whole family of women. As I gave them The Treatment ™️, I imagined how many talks his moms Emi and Asuka (yup, that’s the names they came with) had him about women not being possessions 🙄🤭 (Also, I love how they came out - I barely had to do anything at all ☺️)
While Elijah coasts on his sports scholarship, one might wonder if he’ll take the time to work on himself a bit? Considering we wants to be a good role model for his baby sister Layla, he certainly should.
It’s happening – the thing Carmine has spent her whole life dreaming about. She’s fully aware people think her interest in the mortuary arts is creepy, but someone has to do it, right? Not only that, Carmine’s always felt that the human body was a work of art; moreover, she feels people deserve dignity, empathy and skill when they pass over. No one agrees with her more than her mother Eldora , who respects her daughter‘s calling.
Gotta say - really proud of our boy, Kwame; most guys like him would give up once they were told they had to repeat a grade because they didn’t have enough credits, but he stuck it out. As a result, Mr. Fell tutored and mentored him; even helped apply for scholarships. Now he is the first recipient of the Brown Athletic Grant - a supplemental grant helping underprivileged athletes with living expenses and extraneous school expenses created by Hyacinth Atkins.
Good job, man!
It’s been a little lonely here for Miwa; there used to be a time she hoped she’d have Khem, but she’s come to accept the fact that he and Fetia are endgame and no way does she want to get in the way of that. On the bright side, being alone has given her plenty of time to get her test scores up, secure a full ride to Foxbury, and be named as a Feng Recipient.
From putting on fashion shows with her Papa (Joshua) in the living room with for her Daddy (Elias), Gladys knew she was destined to be in fashion. But designing wasn’t for her; she saw herself as more of a the driving force of things like fashion week and the Spring Edition at the top magazine. Gladys still doesn’t have it all figured out, but she’s confident her Feng Grant well help her figure it out and give her the tools to get there .
