BUT YEA Carnie Time, from left to right:
Pogo: Party gal!! Very outgoing, flirtatious, acrobatic. Grew up being bullied by other Lankers for being "short" (even tho the others are always telling her 'GURL PLS YOU'RE NOT SHORT'), so she got real good at tricks with her pogo stick. Fiercely defensive of her crew.
Mortimer: Sleepy lad. Not as sad as they look, just very low-energy. They dissociate a lot ::'D they're kinda like a less depressed Eeyore. They worry that they hold the others back, but the gang's very supportive of them and show them how they can best incorporate their "sad clown" appearance into acts.
Zeppy: The designated leader of the crew. Fast-talking, charismatic, a little smarmy. think Grunkle Stan, just not as grouchy. Loves bein a lil shit (and taking all your money) but he'll feel kinda bad if his patrons get genuinely sad/upset if they can't win the games. He'll even show you the tricks if he likes you enough!
Beebee: Sweet as pie. Wants to be everyone's friend. A little head-empty but not in a "bumbling oaf" kind of way, he's actually scary-good at carnival games. His tent is loaded with plushies that he won. He's besties with Zeppy, Morty and Pogo, and tends to follow Zeppy like a lost puppy. Very difficult to make angry, but has a Berserker mode that's difficult to get him to snap out of (and he feels terrible about afterwards).
Dazzle: Menace to society. Saturday morning cartoon villain energy. They'll throw their cherry bombs filled with confetti and fireworks a little too close for comfort to most people. Cocky lil shit that likes floating above everyone. If they become grounded for any reason they go tsundere-mode. They became even worse after their bestie Charlie was badly hurt, going on an outright war path against anyone that isn't a fellow Carnie. It is possible to get them to warm up to you, just difficult without the others' help.
Charlie: Before the incident that took his leg (which entailed humans freaking out and blasting it with firepower), he was a total gentle giant. Very careful about his height, and enjoyed interacting with visitors. Afterwards he became very guarded and bitter, and fell under Dazzle's bad influence, becoming a destructive duo around the carnival.
Charlie and Dazzle honestly felt betrayed by Zeppy and gang, since Zeppy very much values his customers & patrons and, in Charlie's eyes, blew off his traumatic injury and tried to order him not to be hostile towards non-Carnies. This of course was not Zeppy's intention, he just didn't want Charlie to close off his heart to making friends with outsiders because of a handful of scummy idiots. They do eventually reconcile after many Tom-and-Jerry slapstick shenanigans and heart-to-heart convos 👍
