“You are not good as a tracker, little wolf. I expected you to find me hours ago.”
“I am not a wolf tonight, but a king,” he retorted, leaning his head back on hers as they moved slowly. “Kings are lazy. And very patient. They take their time, watch the field, and get ready to attack.” Turning in her grip, he wrapped his arms around her waist, pulling her close. “And you?”
“The Night Queen,” was her answer as she intertwined her arms around his neck while his hands moved lower down her dress, settling on her ass. “I see that the king wants his queen.”
“He wants her very much.”
“Then let’s see if you are still a wolf or just a lazy king,” she stated out, pecking at his lips and running away northeast. He followed her, making his way through the dancing crowd, the music so loud that it was enough to break his ears.

Candy Apples (Celeste x Chihiro)
🌹 Valentine’s Day Event 🌹
Notes: Please do not have Chihiro discourse on this post. I will be using she/her for Chihiro since no pronouns were specified.
I enjoy this pairing quite a bit, but I was nervous that I did not characterize them correctly, so I had someone beta read it for me (thanks Finn <3). Also, I focused more on the rides than the games of a carnival as I know them in the US. I hope that doesn’t impact the fic for readers outside the US too much.
First off, Celeste doesn’t really like rides. Chihiro does. This decides their entire date together.
Chihiro, in order to get Celeste on a ride, bets an elephant ear that Celeste can’t ride 3 rides without getting sick. Obviously, Celeste takes the bait and agrees. If Chihiro wins, Celeste buys her an elephant ear. If Celeste wins, Chihiro has to eat a triple-deep-fried oreo.
And the bet is on!
Chihiro picks a roller coaster, then the music wave ride, and finally the zipper.
On the roller coaster, Celeste has to hold onto her drills so they don’t fly off on the dips or fall when they go upside down, which makes Chihiro lose her shit in laughter until the climb. Each climb, Chihiro grabs onto Celeste’s hand to help the nerves and the pit in her stomach. Celeste has great control of her emotions, but truthfully the hand holding helps the anxiety for her too.
The music wave is the only one out of Chihiro’s choices that Celestia is okay with… until it goes really fast in reverse. Chihiro notices Celeste being caught off guard by the sudden lurch, and let’s herself slide in the seat to be against her girlfriend, then puts her arm behind Celeste’s back for extra assurance. The extra weight stops Celeste from sliding back and forth, and helps her feel anchored so the two can enjoy the rest of the ride.
The zipper has a history of being unsafe, or at least that’s what the two of them heard. Truthfully, Chihiro is terrified. Neither of them have been on the ride, and Chihiro said it for the drama. Celeste picks up on this, and suggests a break.
“My darling, are you alright?”
“Huh? Oh, yeah, I’m alright. We still have the finish the bet, I’m just… excited. Yeah, excited.”
“Dear, you do not lie well. Why don’t we get some drinks. We still have the rest of the night.”
The two get a soda and a water (guess who gets what) and each get candy apples too. Once they finish, they realize they’re too full to actually get the elephant ear that was bet, and after talking the two agree to end the bet.
Celeste picks the next and final ride, the Ferris wheel. Chihiro steps in first, offering a hand to help Celeste get in, then they ascend to the top slowly. The view from the top is stunning, with it being a clear night and the entire park illuminating the area with its dazzling lights.
When the moment is right, the two share a kiss above the sea of colors, and descend.
We’ve actually been planning it for almost two years and we’re finally getting to writing it!
It’s essentially a classic rivals to lovers fic. Mickey’s a contortionist and is the most popular performer, and the one headlining, and he has a habit of scaring all new performers away. Of course, when Ian’s hired as the new sword swallower/fire breather, Mickey doesn’t know what he’s up against. (Also Ian’s stage name is The Serpent, and he has a split tongue and we were really proud of ourselves for that one.)
Here’s a little snippet!
“You judgin’ me?” Mickey bites, and takes a, or rather, wobbles a step forward. “You think you’re better’n me? What, cause you shoot flames outta that big fuckin’ mouth and wear that lame ass jumpsuit? Fuckin’ lizard fuck. Fuck you.”
The Serpent grins at him, and pisses him off even more. With his slanted eyes and that weird ass cut up tongue. Stupid fucking frizzy clown hair and stupid speckled freckles.

Pairing: Carol x Neutral!Reader
Summary: A carnival date is simple, if a little corny.
Request: hey! If possible, a carol danvers drabble where they're on a carnival date?
You looked over at Carol, seeing the happiness in her face as she took in the lights of the carnival. “It’s good, yeah?”
“It’s … very human,” she said, nodding. “I can’t remember the last time I’ve been to one. It’s like my first time all over again.”
You smiled and offered your hand to her. Carol took it, and took lead into the carnival.
There were several rides and stalls of food and drink. It smelled of cotton candy and alcohol. But you were mostly just there to see the smile on Carol’s face get brighter and brighter. You had thought it was a good idea to bring her here on a sort of date. You liked to make her smile.
So far, it was going well.
“This is so greasy,” she said, looking at the food in her paper plate. Not a moment later, she was devouring it. “This is so good!” she managed to say through her food.
“The wonders of carnie food,” you said. After eating, the two of you went around on the rides. The first one was the Wipeout, and Carol shouted for it to go quicker. Then came the volcano, bumper cars, Ferris wheel and then finally the mechanical bull.
You went on first, willing to be embarrassed by the short time you’d be on it. And then when Carol got on it, you cheered her on. She aced it. You saw that everyone seemed amazed and hyped up over the fact she had ridden the bull for so long.
“You did great!” you exclaimed. Carol grinned brightly and pulled you into a hug.
“It’s just balance and knowing how to move.” Carol pressed a kiss to your cheek. “I love it, thanks for bringing me here,”
Prompt: “God, I wish I never had to leave your side.”
To say the ferris wheel operator was surprised to see two heads bobbing past the lines- cutting through the throng of waiting people like a hot knife through butter to come clambering up the metal steps and onto the platform- was an understatement.
He was even more surprised when one of them- dressed in pastel pinks and yellows and clutching a huge ice cream cone that turned the edges of his bright pink mustache blue as he chomped off the top of it- sidled over and produced a lollipop, which he tucked into the operator’s breast pocket.
“A tip for you, my good man.” He drawled, before turning and taking the second man’s hand- the operator could only describe him as an 1800s gentleman, complete with a monocle and a vest and a fancy-looking mustache- and leading him toward the empty seat that had somehow appeared despite the ferris wheel being full.
The operator was too dumbstruck to do anything but press the big, green “go” button.

“I think a cat got his tongue,” Wilford chuckled as the ferris wheel ascended. He took another bite of his ice cream before tossing it over the side of the seat. “Bombs away!”
Kersplat! Jameson signed, just as there was a high-pitched cry from somewhere down below. His hands fluttered as he gave a silent laugh.
Wilford guffawed, then crowded toward him for a kiss. Neither of them seemed to notice the dangerous rocking back and forth of the seat as the ferris wheel jolted to a stop at the top of its circle.
“Gah, I wish I never had to leave your side,” Wilford sighed and buried his face in Jameson’s neck.
Jameson laid his head to rest on top of Wilford’s, his hand coming up to wrap around his shoulders, stroking the yellow fabric of his shirt.
Then, slowly, he began to spell out words in ASL: I feel the same way about you.
Recently I attended a carnival event in North Italy and this story was inspired by the story of the characters of that legend or maybe a real story.
Sneak peek...
They were standing outside Winterfell, all lined up along the road that was leading east, to the Dreadfort, to give the last goodbyes to the late Lord of Winterfell and Warden of the North, Roose Bolton. Thousands of people were standing there in silence, yet not a tear was shed for the man who had ruled them through fear and tyranny. And everyone knew that the age of tyranny wasn’t over because the son was even worse than the father.
She saw him riding behind the carriage carrying his father’s lifeless body and followed right behind by riders holding the banner of the flayed man on a cross. Ramsay Bolton had a stern face at that moment, eyes cold like ice, jaw clenched, and head held high to show up that he was a highborn despite being born a bastard from rape. The thought that he would find out about her upcoming wedding and claim the first night made her heart fill with dread and her whole body shudder. However, when her eyes met her secret betrothed’s one, the smile returned, because she remembered his promise. To always protect her.
Once the party was out of sight, Dany met with Jon in their usual secret place in the Wolfswood, the Tumbledown tower. Wrapped in each other’s arms and with head resting on his chest, Dany said, “I’m scared, Jon. Ramsy Bolton seems to be more dangerous than his father. And then there are the tales about his birth.” Pulling away and looking him in the eyes, she added, “Let’s leave the North. Let’s go in the South, or to Essos.”
“There is nothing to fear, Dany. I will always protect you.”
She scoffed at his words, muttering while getting up, “What can a humble woodchopper do?”

Title: On Thursdays
Pairing: Stuart/Murdoc/Paula
Rating: Explicit
Summary: Thursdays at the Carnival can only mean one thing: time for a shag.
Featuring Paula getting hers, Murdoc being a size queen and Stuart just along for the ride.
Warnings: dialogue that suggests lack of consent but in context, it's hopefully very clear that consent is highly enthusiastic, just given by a drama queen. Unbetaed.
