happy BFSN, guys!

i hope you’re all still safe and healthy. i’ve been staying home since last Thursday because i’ve reached a rather starling conclusion that my crap health may put me at a slightly higher risk right now, which was--a little stressful. but at least there’s literally nothing going on at work an my classes this weekend are gonna be held, heaven help us, via Skype, so i have the luxury of being able to hide out.

i’m sending out all the love to you guys, let’s hope this whole thing passes as soon as possible!

The Garden at the End of the World?

Thank you very much for asking because this is my favorite original idea.

Our story starts with a girl visiting her aunt. The aunt lives in a manor in the countryside and even though everything is perfectly polished - from the garden, to the dining room - some things are not as they should be.

When she blinks, she can almost see the rotting walls. In the shadows, there are always whispers of dark and forgotten things. And in the garden - well, her aunt never lets her go unattended.

In the garden, the girl thinks there might be a gateway to somewhere darker. A place you can't really ever get out of, but souls do try.

And then, of course, there is the man in a three-piece suit that sometimes comes to visit.

Essentially, it is a gothic/horror story about two sisters and a curse. One of them got freedom. The other stayed in a violent family's violent house, making sure that nothing - and no one - who should be on the other side of the door ever passes through.

I actually started on this at like 4 AM a few months ago. It’s going to be a cute, fluffy one-shot set after S6 bc there is no S7 in Ba Sing Se, based on this post (with express permission from the OP, of course).

Here’s a super quick snippet:

She doesn’t ask him about it, realizing it’s probably subconscious. But one night as they’re laying beneath the stars outside the farmhouse, he taps out the familiar pattern from where his hand rests over hers on the blanket between them. This time she taps them back. “I love you, too.”
