I tried something sneaky today. I juiced some carrots yesterday, and had a good bit of pulp left over. So I opened a can of moist dog food, added some of the pulp, and mixed it in with my dogs' dry feed.
They ate it. Yea! Carrots are supposed to be excellent for us, and although they, and other veggies and fruits, are added to many dry dog foods, I think that the fresh will provide much more nutrition. And since we're going to be having a lot of pulp from the amount of juicing we'll be doing, there will be plenty of it for the turtles, the tortoises, my husband, and the pups. Me, I'm just drinking the juice, since I don't know how my gut would take bigger pieces of the pulp than the ones that got into the juice. But when I get braver, I will be trying it. No sense letting the rest of the hungry group have all the yummy.
