If Cas acted as a hero he'd probably reduce his powers to his telekinesis and telepathy. If he had to use the rest of his powers, he'd consciously reduce them to the minimum, and act as if he was casting some form of spell. As if he requires something like his own voice to activate them. He would inspire himself in the Phoenix rather than Franklin Richards even if his powers are closer to thel atter than the former.
