Today at lunch some guy stabbed another in the neck with a plastic fork because he was trying to steal the other guys food and he wasn't feeling that. And then the guy who got stabbed threw his milk on the other, so he threw his fruit punch on him. The guy who got fruit punch all over him took off his shirt and they both stormed off in different directions and no one tried to intervene the whole time. I love public school.

I've been thinking of this for a bit since I finished hotw, but what was it exactly that the fairies saw in Maddie that made them be like "ah yes, this one will do" in relation to her being fairy queen?

Even if she doesn’t think she does, Maddie has a ton of internal strength, conviction and dedication. Most of all, the deep and unwavering love for Abigail shows how powerful her heart can be and how powerful a queen she could be in turn.
