He was injured in a workshop as a child due to negligence on the part of the shop owner. The injury caused him to become obsessed with safety going forward.

Through his teens and into his adulthood he studied all laws, safety requirements, safety regulations etc so he acts like he knows everything (he does not).

He acts like the 'karens' of reddit. This causes problems all the time.

He hates Cerés due to believing that his profession (blacksmith/leather craftsman) is a hazard to any community he sets up in.

Cerés got annoyed fairly quickly by his stalker behavior and snapped that his job is only dangerous to those who are inexperienced. Doodle his partner told Cass to back off as both of them have licenses and guild memberships.

Cass is the fun police but under the Karen demeanor he is sensitive and easily upset.
