PunchyCat got a smooth as butter Tsukuyomi run; several new people, but those of us with knowledge shared some tips, one said they watched/read up on mechs, and it went very well. My lil’ pink dancecat even got a comm.
It’s still one of the prettiest primal fights, and the merging of mechanics and story work beautifully in the trial. The following cutscenes are still effective--and Gosetsu’s sobs can still wreck me. Watching Alphinaud say goodbye and walk away is in some ways harder and some ways easier, knowing what’s coming. Watching the conscripts reunite with their families is also still good.
While I still think there are issues with the split in Stormblood’s overarching plot, the moments and characters are still solid and work well when they’re meant to. I just wish it all wove together a little better.
I'll kick your ass. I'll kick my own ass.
