Miraculous Coccinella

Synopsis:

Best friends as civilians, reluctant partners as superheroes; Marinette Dupain-Cheng and Lila Rossi are chosen to stand against Paris’s local terrorist, HawkMoth.

Things seem simple at first but… as lies and secrets accumulate, it becomes increasingly difficult to tell right from wrong, hero from villain, friend from foe.

Marinette will need to keep her moral compass and her wits about her as she navigates the new life she has been thrown into.

What if... Coccinella and Gui met each other? 👀

My headcanon is Coccinella and Gui doesn't have a good relationship with each other, always arguing because Gui is a big bossy heroine, and Coccinella wouldn't be able to support it. Noire and Multimouse are just like "gurl, give me some coffee", and Aspik... Just loves it because ✨ gossip ✨

Since @nionom-art brought us a multiverse of Miraculous AUs, I wanted to make something with it, so, my kids from the New Heroes AU are here with Coccinella and Noire, both from her Miraculous Coccinella AU

I recommend reading her comic, it's just amazing!

Uh, so I haven’t actually done a proper into/explanation post for my most prominent AU/Rewrite so let’s remedy that shall we!

Miraculous: Beetle Rouge & Māo (often shortened to BR&MAU) is an AU in which Luka is the Ladybug Miraculous holder, Marinette is the Black Cat Miraculous holder and EVERY other character (excluding Gabriel/Nathalie) gets a different Miraculous!

BR&MAU is a mini-passion project of mine which stemmed off a one shot I wrote in which Snake!Adrien is overworked and is benched from being Aspik with a sprinkle of Lukadrien as well

It has since evolved into a multi-fic story revolving around the major plot points of the universe, namely different Akumatizations, the new heroes, and the various relationships

Now, let’s go over a few details that you may have questions about:

Q: What’s the upload schedule?

A: There will be an update every Sunday with one or two more throughout the rest of the week

Q: How long will the story be?

A: As of now, I’m not actually sure! There’s currently 10 fics for the first “Arc” of the AU, so take that, and multiple it by the four-ish “Arcs” that exist and you get about 40 or so? Take this with a grain of salt though because like I said: I have no idea right now. All I know for sure is the end is when they defeat Hawk Moth + an epilogue with no idea what really happens in the middle

Q: Have you changed the Miraculous at all?

A: Yep! Weapons will change to fit their holder and some powers/concepts have been changed, but I won’t say anything more until they’ve all been revealed!

Q: Why is it Ladybug!Luka and not Ladybug!Adrien

A: In the original one shot, it was Ladybug!Luka and I didn’t want to change it, besides I thought this was a more interesting take than him being Cat!Luka as most swaps are one to one whereas this one is a three-person swap

Q: Why don’t Gabriel/Nathalie get different Miraculous?

A: If I switched them, they would’ve just not been holders, instead it would’ve been Butterfly!Tomoe and likely no Peacock. Not to mention Gabriel not being directly tied to Beetle Rouge and Māo and instead being tied to them via Adrien (as a boyfriend and friend respectively) felt more unique since so many people try to keep the Butterfly directly tied to either the Ladybug or Black Cat

Q: Is Snake!Adrien still Aspik?

A: He is (although with hair this time)! Well at the beginning he is. If you wanna know why/when he stops being Aspik, read the story to find out!

Q: Will every canon Miraculous holder get one again?

A: Yes they will, including Chloé AND Zoé! However Zoé won’t replace Chloé as a holder, they’ll both be holders at the same time

Q: Who gets what Miraculous?

A: I’ve done my best to match people to which Miraculous fits best while avoiding their original, however I won’t say who gets what until everyone has been revealed in the story!

Q: Will relationships stay the same?

A: Most canon ones will, however this is a Lukadrien & Marigami story, so no Lukanette, Adrienette, or Feligami

AU where for a short, brief while Chloe was best friends with Nino and Marinette in elementary school. Adrien did not like this because his best and only friend would talk just about her two besties and prefer to spend time with them over him, even if he wasn't the biggest fan of Chloe.

Of course, that did not last long as Chloe's entitlement grew and eventually she decided to just focus her friendship on Adrien and bully Marinette, leading to Marinette and Nino drifting apart.

Then Origins. Twice, Fu walks into traffic. Twice, he's saved. Once by Marinette and once by Nino.

The same day, Adrien meets Chloe's so called "besties" and decides to make them pay. Unfortunately, he's not a very good villain. Fortunately, he's a very good manipulator.

So you have Cat Marinette and Ladybug Nino doing Hawkmoth stuff and you have a plot of Nino and Marinette rebuilding their friendship and dragging the rest of the class with them and you have Adrien serving as both's rivals for "stealing" Chloe.
