Hello, I’m Fern! I use She/Any pronouns, and I’m an Ao3 author who mostly writes Miraculous Ladybug fics but has also branched out into Hermitcraft, the Life Series, and other fandoms as well!
I’m currently working on:
- A Miraculous Reboot story called The Miraculous Tales of a Beetle and her Shadow
- Having 250 total completed fics by the end of 2026
If you wanna check out my fics, I’m WaterTheFern on Ao3!
I have now officially watched every POV of Real Life SMP, and while this will probably be the only season I do this with (besides Simple Life which I’m gonna start watching tonight) I absolutely adored every POV and it’s honestly it’s hard to chose a favorite
If you’ve never watched the April Fool’s specials, I recommend them, especially since you could probably knock out every POV in a single day if you wanted to since there’s only one episode
If you don’t want to though, I think I’d recommend Joel, Jimmy, Scott, Cleo, or Gem’s, I love everyone’s episodes but these five were fun to watch
AO3 has recently seen a wave of comments claiming to be made by the "AO3 Trust & Safety team", notifying you that your account has been restricted. These claims are not true. These comments are not being made by real AO3 volunteers and your account has not been restricted.
AO3 volunteers, including the Policy & Abuse committee, will never communicate with you through comments on your work. All important communications from AO3 will be sent through the email associated with your account. More general announcements will be posted on our official social media accounts or published as news posts on AO3 or OTW.org.
If you receive one of these comments, do not click on any of the links in it, reply to it, or interact with it in any way. The links in these comments lead to sites asking you to verify your identity by providing payment information. This is a common credit card scam. AO3 does not ever ask users to provide payment information, and the Policy & Abuse committee will never comment on your works asking you to "complete an identity verification process".
If you encounter one of these comments or believe your account has been compromised, please view the instructions under the cut!
We suggest that you review your account to verify that you're using a unique and secure password. Check out the advice from our Policy & Abuse committee on Protecting Your AO3 Account and Keeping Your Account Secure.
If you believe your AO3 account has been compromised for any reason (i.e. you received an email that your username changed), you can change or reset your password to ensure control of your account. Changing your password will automatically log you out of all sessions on all devices. You can find the option to change your password in your Preferences.
If you encounter one of these comments on your own work or someone else's, please report them to the Policy & Abuse committee. To do so:
Select the "Thread" button on the scammer's comment. This will take you to the specific comment page.
Scroll to the bottom of the page and select Policy Questions & Abuse Reports.
In the "Brief summary of Terms of Service violation" field, enter "Spambot".
In the "Description of the content you are reporting" field, enter "This is a spambot, their username is USERNAME."
Reporting in this fashion helps us auto-sort your report so that it can be handled as soon as a Policy & Abuse volunteer is available. To help us address reports about these types of bots as fast as possible, please only submit one report per account, and don't include multiple accounts in the same report.
We also encourage you to share this post and help spread the word about how to protect yourself from scammers and reduce spam on AO3.
For more information about spambots on AO3, you can review our News Post on the topic.
Im finally going back to watch xB’s season 11 since I’m (mostly) caught up on the other Hermits I’m watching and I completely forgot he tore down AN ENTIRE MOUNTAIN BY HAND
I’m watching Real Life SMP for the first time and I have to say, watching everyone flail around and Joel basically throwing up the whole time is hilarious
Also Jimmy kissed Joel so like, 10/10 best April fools episode ever
Please stop trigger tagging with #epilepsy tw/cw/warning/etc.
I need every single person to understand how horrible tumblr’s tagging system is
I go into the tag for epilepsy and its all flashing lights. We can’t use our own tag because people without epilepsy fill it up with improper warnings.
Use ‘flashing’ in place of ‘epilepsy’ in your tags. You aren’t warning people of epileptics, you’re warning us of flashing lights. Please please tag properly. Epileptics say this endlessly and constantly and it’s ignored. You are risking lives by doing this.
Here’s proof of what I mean:
THIS POST IS 100% OKAY TO REBLOG, I ENCOURAGE PEOPLE WITHOUT EPILEPSY TO ESPECIALLY DO SO!
Good exercise for non-epileptic person who has a free hour or two:
Make a dump sideblog titled some variation on “flashing tag” or “retagging”
Go into any epilepsy tag
Go over posts and reblog flashing ones to side blog with correct tags
Assuming you’re not the only one doing that, it’s most efficient to go for Newest. You can also temporarily block flashing tags so you don’t see ones that someone already tagged correctly
You can actually prepare whole block of text with commas and add umpteen tags with one copy-paste. Like so:
“#flashing” is for light patterns causing seizures. “#epilepsy” is for epileptics talking epilepsy, flashing, tw flashing, flashing tw, NOT #tw epilepsy
(In activity notifs, not-bundled tags-only reblogs show beginning of the tags. If you want to relay some message to your prevs, put these tags on the very beginning.)
Edit:
Apparently Tumblr system is dogshit inconsistent enough that with having #flashing, #tw flashing, #flashing tw – all blocked, I still go into #tw epilepsy tag and see posts that I myself personally reblogged with these blocked tags.
So. Sweet. Very helpful. Makes me wonder why there’s shitton of money being put on societal levels in flagging and hiding so-called “mature” content, but we cannot put a fraction of that cash into flagging eyestrain and stroboscopes that way. But I digress
I’m going to change tactics: reblog with text “tw flashing” “flashing tw” so it can potentially be caught by content filtering (hopefully) and prepare a generic text meant for the artists explaining that “tw epilepsy” is as well-meaning as it is misguided.
Currently trying to decide if/how Adrien should he disabled for my reboot because on one hand, I LOVE disabled Adrien headcanons, especially when they play off his concept art, but on the other hand, he doesn’t need to he disabled, especially since I have a few other disabled characters in the main cast
Currently rewatching MHA for the first time in a while (I’ve reached a few arcs recently but not the whole show) and knowing now that Aoyama is the traitor and watching some of the things he says/does makes it so obvious he was working for AFO
Like at the time he really just seemed like a really paranoid kid who didn’t think he was worthy of being of hero but then you realize he was terrified of AFO winning because he was helping and was actively sabotaging himself to be less useful to AFO
Not to mention baby Aoyama’s “why am I different” which obviously related to him being Quirkless even though at the time we thought it was just because his had that intense Quirk drawback (which obviously we know now was because his body literally wasn’t built for his Quirk, just like Izuku)
