A Note about Age
Age is a rather special “property” of us: Unlike hair colour or political opinions we cannot change it. At any point in time it is just given to us.
Our age is intrinsically unalterable: When we are young, we are stuck with our then young age with all its energy, innocent hope - and soon to be lost inexperience. When we are old, we are stuck with our now old age with all its calmness, aquired memories - and a few forever lost opportunities.
It's all the same
The Atlantic featured a very visual comparison What 200 Calories of Every Food Looks Like. Normally I do not re-post content from web articles directly, but this one is so startling, yet obvious, that I have to show it here. I pick two sides of the coin:
A bit more than half a blueberry muffin has 200 calories
and
2 1/2 heads of lettuce have 200 calories
Bon appétit!
My chillies are red
I didn't know what colour the fruits of this chilli plant might be:
- until they turned red:
:-)
Blue Match
The tea cup I use at work has a beautiful blue decor which perfectly matches the Windows Lock screen as you can see here:
What would I do if, at my work, we moved to Mac OSX? ;-)
Cucumber salad
Very tasty:
Cucumber salad with chili oil and Parmesan sprinkles!
