Big Bookbinding Weekend

My fiancee was out of town so I spent the time binding up a storm...

Decided to test out edge sanding to see if it was better than using my french paring knife...

Not bad, but it made a HUGE mess and some dust got trapped in the textblocks.

Also put a little jig I made for trimming corners to the test.

Thought I would post some pictures of my feline (not so much) helpers.

Our director and CEO. Note the look of condescension. She’s 13.

Quality Control Inspector. She has a paws-on approach, always pointing out how straight my floss isn’t. She’s 6.

Upper Management. When she doesn’t approve, she let’s me know by deliberately knocking things off tables and shelves. Basically throwing a hissy fit. She’s 3.

Gofer/Hair Applier. He grabs (steals) the tools of my trade and makes sure everything is properly coated in very fine, floaty hair before the product is ready for shipping. He’s almost a year old.
