Thinking about cat max and those talking buttons trying to communicate and getting frustrated when GP can't understand him

Max is so cat coded, it is adorable! The video of him cheering with the team after the win? Him jumping away like someone scored him or stepped on his tail? Too cute 💞

Makes me think of a cat hybrid au where he maybe he is the only one with the mutation and he gets treated so well by his team. And Charles always loves cuddling with Max in the evening, petting his head and ears, while Max wraps his tail around them 🥰

Oh he really is! He has the lion as his symbol because he is a lion on track but he's just a soft kitten off track.

He would get so many pets and head rubs by the whole team and they'd let him take little cat naps throughout the day when he needed a rest. Sometimes he'd even have a little nap in his car when it's in the garage because, just like a cat, he likes to nap in tight little spaces. He sometimes likes to play too, so Rupert has lots of little games they can play that will help Max's reaction times but also makes the cat side of him happy.

Charles loves having Max nuzzles against him and purr happily as he pets him. Max loves sitting in Charles' lap and receiving attention and when he gets a bit too happy his tail starts quivering. They would be so cute together.

Cat's Got Her Tongue Chapter 14: The Cat’s Tongue

Summary: Max goes into heat, and nothing will ever be the same. Preview:  Max sprawled out on the couch, full of lazy feline grace even while in human form. She wasn’t sure when she had started spending more time as a human than a cat. It had just sort of slowly crept up on her. 

But if she had to pick a moment, it was that glorious and wonderful kiss at that Halloween party. After that kiss, it had just seemed… right. Especially around Chloe. She arched her back with a yawn and idly watched the TV, too lost in her thoughts to pay attention. 

She was Chloe’s girlfriend now. That’s definitely why she was spending more time as a human. Being her girlfriend and being a cat around her was… weird. It hadn’t been weird at first. But then she’d notice herself changing since she’d met Alice. She’d rejected her primal instincts then. And in the weeks since, she’d notice her ways of thinking changing. She wasn’t sure what they were becoming, but part of her hoped they were more human. And with more human thinking, came more human instincts. She wouldn’t have to worry about hurting anyone’s pets anymore.

Not that she didn’t like being a cat. Swaddled in her cozy fur, with graceful agility and sharp senses her human form lacked. No clothes itching her skin, no strange people trying to make the polite small talk she had finally started to get the hang of, and no damned bra.
