Here are 7 of my shots of buffalo on mine and Liz’s Catalina Conservancy Eco Tour adventure. I have to say I love buffalos! They are 1200 pounds of exotic beauty. I decided with this set to pull them to more of a nostalgic sepia tone. It lends sense of romantic beauty to the buffalo and the hatch pattern of the grass. After a hard day of island exploration we decided on the Bluewater Grill recommended by a taxi driver. Liz had scored some tequila the night before with some orange juice and we had had a couple of cocktails inside out cottage at the Hermosa Hotel before dinner. We discovered that the Bluewater Grill had an hour and a half wait. So we moved down the boardwalk to people watch. It only took an hour. We were seated out side on the far right corner of the outside Dinning area. It was a perfect place to be. We were served sourdough and butter. OMG, it was hot and so good. When I saw blackened swordfish I was smitten and so was Liz. We were excited and hungry! The swordfish was stunning and their vegetables were excellent. All served was a grilled lemon - yum! I can’t remember Liz’s quite about the swordfish but she nailed it. Then we celebrated Liz’s birthday for the first time. It was a marvel to go from helicopter to cocktails with walking distance as we managed to swing by the Buffalo Nickel after we landed at the IEX Heliport. We embarked in a fun direction from the moment we landed. Here are 3 of my shots of buffalo on mine and Liz’s adventures with The Catalina Conservancy Eco Tour. We took the 3 hour tour that goes through Little Harbor to circle back to Avalon. Ron was our tour guide. He’s remarkably knowledgeable and has great details about the history of Catalina. It’s been my second trip with him and this tour varied so we could discover to interesting place I had seen before. It’s always the best tour on Catalina. What a day for Buffalo too. They were close and all over the place.
