♈: Fedalt Amanog, insipidIpseand (II), Mage of Blood. He/she + butch. Chronically ill (anemic) catfish with direct connections to half the cast. Does not give up on people. Jo's matesprit, being auspiticized with Lepyda by Heir.

♉: Clohan Parsit, vacuousVenenation (VV), Bard of Life. He/him. Uncontrollably drains all life he comes into contact with. Jo's ex-kismesis, broke up with her after a horrible incident that kicked off her voidrot. He wants to change and not hurt people anymore, so he's living a rather ascetic life as to not hurt anyone. Notably this means no apologies.

♊: Joquil "Jo" Renfas, echolalicVallidom (EV), Thief of Hope. She/her. Voidrot vampyre* with an incredibly unstable ego, currently stabilized by her redroms and taking her anger out on people she sees as beneath her. Before The Incident, she was in a pilot (battery) program, but once she started failing, and then became outright disabled, she was dropped like hot garbage. Doggirl. Laural's moirail. (Currently having a flush affair with Laural, as she's also Jo's bloodbag.)

♋: Suwulf Viecig, independentVastation (IV), Knight of Breath. They/them. Loveless aro & fervent hater. Addict. Wandering loner-- shows up, helps, and leaves. Furry. Not in the friend group, but through a chance encounter, got their paws on a twelfth disc.

♌: Catara Dupine, inherentEngram (IE), Heir of Mind. She/her. Professional therapyspeaker and pop psych infographic sharer. Dark empath. Fell for inherent caste-traits propaganda hook, line, and sinker.

♍: Laural Pietyr, levigatingLacuna (LL), Maid of Heart. She/her. Empty of identity, so will gladly take up anything she sees. Trying to "fix" Jo. Horse girl.

♎: Phoibe Crucix, laniaryEbullition (LE), Witch of Doom. She/her. Girl Jigsaw. Thinks the best way to make things work better is trial by fire, change or die. She also applies this philosophy to her kismesissitude! She's working on distributing a game with the Prince that's going to get eleven trolls off Asternia. Auspiticizing the Prince & Wesson.

♏: Number Twelve, vivisectedEscapee (VE), Sylph of Void. She/her. Mutant cerulean-- reptilian lusus traits and externally-manifesting psychics in the form of hallucinogenic vapors from her mouth. She wears a mask to keep those in. These psychics attracted the attention of the Asternian military, and as such, she was a horribly mistreated living weapon, and has very little social experience. She has since escaped and now lives in a cave. Her interest in the Asternian children's cartoon Sparkle Princess Cleanses the Lowbloods has stuck around from her upbringing. Bitter failing moirails with Liemys, kismeses with Phoibe.

♐: Liemys Camisa, liminalIchneumon (LI), Rogue of Space. He/him. 2000s emo/pop-punk frontman, with the misogyny that entails. Also a mercenary! Sort of a teleporting slasher-- even without the godtier ability to redistribute space, he's mastered the art of being anywhere. Flushed flirting with Laural, bitter failing moirails with Twelve.

♑: Victil Cthono, endlessLachrymae (EL). Prince of Time. He/him. Like Phoibe, he's also a video essayist, but he leans far more on the "essayist" side, mostly recounting plot rather than scratching any depth. Insomniac. Harbors a deep well of grief and guilt within him, an inability to let things go, and a deep feeling of doom with what role he is expected to fill in the future. Matesprits with Lepyda (hey girl I mean they), gamers on a couch with Wesson.

♒: Wesson Mavlav, vacillatingLanguet (VL), Seer of Rage. He/him. You cannot tell what he actually believes because he phrases everything as a joke and if you take any of it seriously then you’ve fallen for a joke. Zero Day fan.

♓: Lepyda Lophii, eclosingEnlightenment (EE), Page of Light. Any pronouns. Hard-boiled detective who sucks at being a detective. Morally the best person here but the narrative does not care. Moth to a flame, the nefarious anglerfish.

*For voidrot, it’s easiest and most ethical to request excess psionics from other psionic trolls, but if necessary, psionics are in (live) troll blood, and may be consumed that way.

✂️ (scissors) - Has your character ever cut their own hair? What about someone else’s? How did it turn out?

Twelve cuts her own hair currently, usually just as maintenance at shoulder-length, with slightly too-long bangs. She prefers it on the longer side, even when inconvenient, partially because she thinks the aesthetic is neat, and partially because she hasn’t been allowed to have it at that length. She doesn’t usually let other people cut it for that latter reason— makes her feel helpless, though Liemys used to, once upon a time.

🩸 (blood) - Is your oc squeamish? Are they disturbed by the sight of blood? Have they ever been in a situation where they had to overcome being squeamish?

Catara is not squeamish! She’s rather disconnected from emotions in general, so concepts like fear and disgust are somewhat foreign to her. There’s also that the society she was raised in is rather violent. Not as much as it was sweeps ago, but Alternian culling is still used for those who do not benefit the empire, and as such, pretty much every troll on Asternia is familiar with the sight of blood, some more than others.

Catara is also, by profession, a hunter of wild lusii, for money and survival. She learned this from her lusus, who was an odd purrbeast with a prominent, cage-like exoskeleton. As purrbeasts are, she wasn’t traditionally affectionate, and while providing physical support for Catara, did little to provide emotionally.

Catara spent a lot of time alone in her hive, which is fine, because it gave her time to hone her mind palace modus.

The Bard and Heir have names now btw: Clohan Parsit, from clochan + parasite/parco (to have mercy, to refrain), and Catara Dupine, from catnip scientific name (nepeta cataria) + Dupin (poe's detective, major influence on sherlock holmes). The catnip reference comes from Catara's belief in caste-inherent traits. She's inherited all the bigotry of psychology and wields it to her own ends.
