Since people are posting theories, I have one of my own.

Gwyn was under the assumption Starfleet couldn't accept Dal. If that was the case, I suspect she was planning on asking Dal if he would go with her to Solum.

Because "everyone deserves a place they belong", and they belong together. Who better to introduce her people to the Federation, than someone who is a good combo of several Federation worlds and has the heart of Starfleet?

(And the idea of a little time with him away from the others was maybe an attractive bonus?)

She knew she needed to go, but didn't want anything stopping him from trying for his dream, which is why she kept her mission to Solum a secret.

But look how sad she was to realize she'd have to go alone. Still breaks my heart for her.

With everything going on for Season 2, I can't wait to see how they all find each other again.

I’m back!!!

Sorry to all y’all who’ve been following me-- I know I ain’t been delivering. But now I’m gettin’ back into uploading art. Drawing lots, learning plenty, getting better. Join me on my journey! And to all of you who’ve stuck with me-- thanks a whole bunch! It’ll be worth it I promise.

So to return I drew @cat-boots because we all <3 him. Thanks for being such a big ol’ inspiration to me! He’s got a bit of advice on his FAQ that I think is great to keep in mind, no matter your skill level:

“Instead of not drawing, you should draw. A lot. Draw bad art until either you start drawing good art, or until you can trick people into thinking your bad art is good.”
