Still think Kat getting taken out by one needle rifle headshot is the dumbest thing ever. Fat lot of good that forcefield, cutting edge armored helmet and surgically enhanced indestructible skull did her. Also I don't take it to be malicious but it still sucks that every other member of Noble team gets some variety of ludicrously badass heroic sacrifice death and the one woman on the team just gets sniped mid-sentence like a complete scrub.

Happy birthday to Spartan Catherine-B320!

Today is her -504th birthday!

The Office of Navel Intelligence had its eye on Kat before she became orphaned. After her parents died, she was adopted by her grandmother, a retired Army general. As a result, ONI could not immediately target her for conscription. However, when her grandmother died during the Covenant attack on New Harmony, ONI promptly approached her and conscripted her into the SPARTAN-III program as part of Beta Company. She was set apart by Kurt Ambrose due to her skill, and for this reason, did not participate in Operation: TORPEDO, a mission that would lead to the deaths of nearly every Beta Company member.

Kat became a planning and intelligence specialist, and was attached to NOBLE Team. She blamed herself for the death of Thom-A293 during the Battle of Fumirole, a mission that was technically a success but led to heavy losses, including the loss of her right arm, which was replaced by a robotic prosthetic.

She joined NOBLE team to defend Reach during the Covenant assault. She was killed by a sniper during the glassing of New Alexandria. She shares a birthday with her squadmate, Noble Six.
