It pisses me off how people think that bisexuality doesn't exist... Honestly I struggle a lot with my identity, and hearing that what I identify with the most is just a phase is so nerve-racking. 🥺😡

I’m Catholic and Bi! What are ya’ll gonna do about it?
I don't know why it's so hard to find gay guys that are looking for serious relationships... No wonders why people think gays are promiscuous....
Not talking about everyone obviously.
#gay
Christianity vs LGBTQ+
Why this feud? We are all the same!
It’s almost the end of the year. We’ve all achieved goals, regret stuff, compromise on things, fight for our believes, etc. and by ALL I mean ALL, straight, gay, lesbian, trans, etc. I sometimes think that we tend to forget we’re all the same, especially in the eyes of God.
Until now, I’ve been really proud of myself because I’ve stood up whenever someone questioned my faith being part of the LGBT community. But its moments like this, when I’m feeling a little bit down, when I watch videos of catholic priests and/or christians basically make me doubt myself.
I’ve struggled with my thoughts on my catholic faith and my sexuality for more than 10 years. And in those 10 years I’m convinced God gave me some sort of understanding that I am who I am and it’s OK. I’ve had the chance to speak with very instructed and highly educated religious people and somehow a 24 year old (me), without any knowledge of theology or deep knowledge of the bible itself, has been able to leave these people speechless by sharing my experience and all my thoughts.
What’s happening now is that I’m watching all these preachers and people explaining why being gay is just as sinful as killing, robbing, etc. How can you compare those things to affection? I never chose to be the way I am. People who steal or kill do choose to do the action, I never did. I would like to ask all of these people, why did God created you with the possibility to truly love someone and be fine with that, and then created a bunch of us with 0% chance of loving someone truly because we’ll be condemn if we do? makes sense, of course NOT!
GOD CREATED ALL OF US EQUAL! and He loves every single one of us in the very same way. For once try to understand something that you’re not experiencing instead of denying it and condemning it.
Straight people that support us or that have loved ones on the LGBTQ+ community, remember that there’s an A in that “+” stands for allies. We need you to stand with us, because you know us! you know the kind of people we are! Don’t let more people fall into ignorance, share your thoughts whenever it’s needed.
Thank you,
S.
Ignorance spreads like wildfire 🔥
I’m very thankful with all the people who send me messages of support and love, honestly it’s what keeps me going with his blog.
There are some people though, who also send me messages of how “sinful” I am...
Apparently I love to feel a void in my life with “sex, drugs, food, etc...”, at least that’s what they say. And yeah there’s some truth in that... this last couple of months I’ve eaten a lot! And I’ve put some extra pounds 😅 but yeah it happens....
Anyway, this messages coming from people, with profile descriptions such as “ex-sinner”, are usually followed by quoting verses from the Bible. And whenever I want to address this verses with dialogue, these people other verses of the Bible that have no connection to the last one.... and they seem to avoid any sort of conversation on these verses.
Y’all have to understand that the Bible was written by human beings and in an ancient language that had to be interpreted in order to become what it is now! Do you know how many times has it been altered whenever it’s translated to another language? countless times, that’s the answer. So, what you are reading is probably an interpretation created by multiple people along this 2000+ years.
I honestly don’t have an issue with the Bible, I mean, the majority of the things it says have some sort of moral value and it is good to hear them, but the Bible can be interpreted in an infinite number of ways, so who is right? That’s a question no one can answer.
So please people stop sending me verses of the Bible if you’re not willing to address them. You can’t just shove people with this verses when you don’t even know what they mean, or at least can give me an explanation of why exactly you think these verses are morally ok. And please don’t get me wrong, as I’ve mentioned before, I consider myself a catholic and I do believe in God’s word, but I also know that the Bible that we have is prone to misinterpretation and has been altered over centuries by people. So reflect on those verses you send and think before using them, otherwise you’re just ignorants quoting things that you can’t understand.
Sincerely,
S
Coming Out Update
For those who are still thinking about coming out, here’s a little bit of an update on how life can be after coming out. Obviously this is my experience and everyone’s is different.
I came out for the first time almost a year ago (11 months to be precise), and since then I’ve came out to about 11 people in my life... yes, I’ve been counting them and no, it’s not 1 for each month haha. Anyway, life hasn’t change that much honestly, I’m 25 now so that’s a big number for a young person but social-wise nothing has changed that much... my closest friends that know about me are treating me the same, sometimes they make jokes about it but it’s fine. The last one of friends that I told was maybe one of the scariest because I had talked with him previously on where he stood with gay/bi guys and it wasn’t good. nevertheless, everything went smooth with him and he is the same as he was before.
Things with my family are very much the same... so there’s nothing much to talk about.
IMPORTANT - So after almost a year of trying to make “fetch” happen (finding love). Nothing has actually happened... where I live there aren’t many gay/bi dudes trying to build a relationship like I would like too. So I’m not gonna lie... I feel lonely most of time. Filling up your life with friends isn’t solving anything, you eventually see them finding love on their own and you’re always third-wheeling.
So I ask my fellow lgbtq+, where are you guys?? I mean, are there any guys around my age that would like a serious relationship? because I feel like there are none or they might be too far.
I guess I’ll make a more explanatory post on my coming out anniversary but for now I leave you with that question! and I hope someone can give me an answer.
thank you guys for reading and see you soon,
S

Friends are the family we choose
What a rollercoaster year was 2018. I can’t even start on how many things happened... I just know it’ll be a year I will never forget.
It hasn’t even been a year since I first came out to my brother (who was actually the first person I came out to), but I feel like a lot of my fears about coming out to my friends just disappeared. I think there’s a reason for everything, me being bi/gay (not sure yet), being catholic, etc... but I think that there’s also a reason of why I chose the friends that I have.
Through our lives friends come and go, but those that stick around through your worst and best moments are the ones that you end up considering family. I’ve talked about how I’ve always been surrounded by religious friends (because of my culture) and also by mostly male friends (because I went to an all-boys school). For those guys who identify themselves as part of the LGBTQ+ community, you might have an idea on how hard it is sometimes to be honest with your friends about this part of you. For more than a decade I panicked about the reactions that all of my friends would’ve had if I ever decided to tell them. The thought of it was just unbearable... thinking that they would reject me or make fun of me, or anything that could go wrong... and yet somehow I would convince myself that their reaction would be “the correct one”.
I mean, now I think to myself, why would you want someone in your life that doesn’t love you for who you are? Obviously when you’re growing up this way of thinking takes a lot of time to achieve. When I decided I would come out to my closest friends, I was scared to death. I knew deep in my heart that if things went wrong I would be devastated, but at the same time I just needed to know if these people were actually my friends and if they really wanted the person that I am. It’s funny because I’ve always been like this so it shouldn’t make a difference for a person, but still it does to a bunch of people. Anyway, I slowly started picking my friends and decided to talk to them about how I felt, and wow, honestly till this day none of them has had any problem with this. Obviously some of them have questions, mostly the religious ones, and I understand that they will never get it entirely, because it’s actually impossible to fully understand it unless you’ve went through it yourself.
Even my most religious male friends, have given me their support or at least have started to slowly change in order to be more comprehensible. This is new to me too, I mean until now I’ve been closeted and single without letting myself love or be loved. So my journey is just starting, and I’m happy that I have the friends that I have, because I’ll be able to take them in this journey with me.
I thank God for the friends that I have, I know there’s a reason why I have these friends. And if I ever stumble across someone who I consider to be my friend and happens to be homophobic then I will understand that that person doesn’t belong in my life.
Sincerely,
S.

Merry Christmas!
I know christmas isn’t until 2 days from now but I just wanted to wish everyone happy holidays.
For a great part of people Christmas means family, in my case it means study while you try to find time for the family part...
Anyway, this is the third Christmas I’ll spend away from my parents and my siblings. I’m sure I already got used to the idea but it stills hurts not to be with them. Sometimes we don’t realize how important some things are until we don’t have them anymore.
As Catholics we should remember what Christmas really means, and that is the birth of Jesus Christ. It should be a time to be happy and to celebrate his birth by doing the things he would want us to do... and what is that you might ask? Well, I have no idea hahaha those things change for each one of us and we should now what they are. Of one thing I’m sure ☝🏽 He would want us to be kind to one another everyday! So be kind.
I guess that’s about it... 😅 merry Christmas 🎁🎄 enjoy your families and friends.
