As Good As Gold
By Nicole Armas (MissVoltara)
"Seraphita had been drawn to the young priest since he had first arrived to Ambricourt and she saw those mournful, dark eyes of his. She had always been intrigued by priests. They were aloof and unobtainable conduits of God, His obsidian-clad anointed servants on earth. They were holy avatars for the love of God and Seraphita wanted to snatch the young cleric within her grasp and keep him to herself. She wanted to know if she could reach her Creator through him.”

Summary: Seraphita has an unhealthy obsession with her parish priest. Believing that he's an angel sent from Heaven, Seraphita quickly becomes determined to make him hers.

One reason why Kurt Wagner is so appealing and holds such high standards for himself and other mutants/humans alike is because he's Catholic :)
When Non-Christians (or, let’s be honest, poorly catechized ex-Christians) Write About Christianity
This Still Happens (update)
I made myself cry writing Chapter 18 of This Still Happens - oh, gosh. Father Matthew is possibly my favourite character... Why didn't I have a Fr Mathew growing up? Everyone should have a Fr Matthew.
“Don’t be sorry,” he says, “There are a lot of people who take the word of God, and twist it, make it into an amplifier for their hate. For their bigotry, to try and justify it. And then they scream their misinterpretations so aggressively, so loudly, that they drown out people who do know. I’m sorry I wasn’t speaking loudly enough for you to hear me when I said God loves you. I’m sorry.” He hugs me. “God does love you, Lena. Please don’t ever forget that.”
I’ve just passed 60,000 words (written since the 1st May 2019) of this draft, and I’m uploading new chapters to Wattpad every Friday. My current count is 60,233 words, of which I’ve written 1,850 today.
Title: Cinnamon Blade: Knife in Shining Armor
Author: Shira Glassman
The Story: Every time Cinnamon Blade, crime fighter making up for a bad past, rescues the sweet and nerdy Soledad Castillo from bad guys, the two women's chemistry grows stronger. Now that she's finally asked Soledad out, sparks fly -- but is a normal date even possible in a city threatened by aliens and vampires on a regular basis? (x)
The Representation: Cinnamon Blade is Jewish and bisexual. Soledad is Costa Rican American, working class and Catholic and is unsure whether she’s bi or a lesbian. Captain Werewolf is Jewish. Satyr is of Taiwanese descent. Dot is Black and chubby. Rodney is Black and queer.
Why I Loved It: The chemistry between Blade and Soledad was palpable, and I really enjoyed seeing them attempt to navigate the early stages of their relationship while working around Blade’s superheroing commitments. I loved the glimpses of Blade’s tight-knit, found-family superhero team - particularly her close friendship with Captain Werewolf – and I’m looking forward to seeing more of them all in future instalments. This was fun and fast-moving with tons of heart.
@ God where is the real life Det. Carisi where is my good Catholic boy cop studying law with a sunshiney personality a heart of gold and an eagerness to learn from others
Random things I wonder about MCU’s take on Daredevil... knowing what enhanced senses actually is living with fibro... does Matt have smells he can’t stand? That he actively avoids or his friends know to never bring around them? We all do, they never tell you that about super senses. Or days where you don’t want to move because you can feel the air pressure change on your bones. I’d love more stories about Matt Murdock dealing with all the crap that comes with him being disabled on top of his being a hero.
