(hi im so sorry u sent this but i literally couldn't keep my eyes open so i thought i'd wait till i was a bit more coherent !!)

so covert whump to me is like. hidden injury but long term? i've seen it described as "part time whump" which also works! basically its any sort of situation where whumpee can't or won't tell anyone about the whump and they have to go about their daily lives while experiencing it. as opposed to a captivity situation where everyone knows they're missing, or a lw situation where they can't sort of. hide. themselves? <- everyone knows the specific problem here. with covert whump there may be a weird vibe but some kind of reveal has to happen for any intervention to reach them.

it's fun ^_^ and it may not always be an injury specifically that they're hiding. i just like it :)

whenever i saw this blog it never occurred to me that it wasnt. A countdown to the end of the world or something idk i thought it was just silliness. we only have so many days left so gather your days type thing. first time i actually check it out, and, it seems to be the opposite! that makes me smile. yay

Hah- I’m sure some folks would prefer if this were a countdown to us all cracking cyanide capsules. But unfortunately we’re gonna have to live with what happens the next 1,270 days, pick up the pieces and try to make the best of whatever we can.

i would normally ask this on anon cuz im afraid of this being offensive or anything- so uh its okay if u dont have an answer or dont wanna answer and i think this was asked before by a diferent person but. why do you like tragedies and unhappy endings that leave you feeling empty and dreadful so much?

your endings always left me somewhat desperate- in the way there was always some sort of posibility for their salvation but in the end they were all helpless anyways, doomed. from the outside it was preventable, but from the inside, it was never gonna end a diferent way. i remember you once said you like endings that leave you feeling like that- somewhat heartbroken, but i just....didn't understand that??

and thats okay but im really really curious and it is aslo okay if this ask is overwhelmimg or if its just something you dont know how to answer or dont want to too- Basically No Force/pressure👍👍👍 im just really curious cuz its kind of been in the back of my mind for a while. what can i say your tragedies ARE pretty haunting. i dont critize you for it tho!!! I would just like to know, what do you find enjoyable about, well, the lack of joy?

i don't know why i like tragedies so much. i've just always liked them. and yes this has been asked by someone before but i can't remember what i said lol with a lot of the stories that i'm writing i just feel like there's no other logical ending than a tragedic one. i hate when stories that are tragedies through and through force a happy ending. happy endings feel a little... fake to me? idk how to explain it. hopeful endings in whump, that i get. that's reasonable. but a complete happy ending with a bow on top after 50 chapters of trauma is not my cup of tea. idk. i'm not here to yuck anyone's yum tho, please don't take it that way, it's just personal taste. i like my stories haunting. i enjoy the tightness in my chest and i'm always chasing that feeling. i'm just Like That.

I've recently been thinking a lot about transformation whump and identity loss related to that, especially forced transformation. The scenario I keep going back to is a human getting transported to a world where humans don't or can't exist, but instead of getting booted back to their home world or ceasing to exist, they slowly transform into the human equivalent species

Also been thinking about uncomfortable slow transformation would be. Like the skin getting itchy as fur grows in, teeth shifting around the mouth and changing shape, having to get used your head being heavier from new ears or horns (or both), and other things like that

ELDWIN

-He is the 2nd-born of 5 children

-He's worked a wide range of jobs between the ages of 12-14, from factory work, to graverobbing. The worst of which was scavenging for lost valuables on the shores of rivers, dockyards and even sewers.

-He was once grounded for a month (the rest of summer) after kneeing an older boy in the crotch for throwing stones at pigeons. And for doubling down on it. He flat out refused to apologise.

JOWAN

-He only drinks water, or coffee. Nothing else.

-His favourite subject in school was actually geography.

-If he had lived a normal life and gone to medical school properly, he probably would have specialised in Cardiology. He finds it the most interesting.

ABIGAIL

-Her childhood dream was to capture Mewtwo irl.

-She had a stutter as a child. She is mostly okay now as long as she's calm and speaks slowly. It may come back in moments of high stress or anxiety.

-She's left-handed.
