So this is funny but I thought I saw something the other day where you said that you also are into Crowley/Aziraphale from Good Omens but it’s also possible I’m completely misremembering! But I’m asking because I know you can always find Johnlock fics for people so I thought you might have the same magical powers for Crowley/Aziraphale fics! If so I was wondering - do you know any AU’s in which Crowley is a ghost or some sort of spirit or some thing and meets Aziraphale? Thank you!

Irene Adler: Sexual Avatar

This question came to me from via message rather than ask, so I’ve reproduced it here for public answering purposes.

I think the writers have deliberately left this exchange ambiguous. If you want to read this as confirming Sherlock’s attraction to Irene and subsequent relationship with her, you’re welcome to do so. For me, it confirmed my original understanding of Irene’s role in Sherlock, which is quite different.

Who is Irene in this story? She is a brilliant, amoral woman who uses her skills in deductive reasoning to determine what people like—sexually. She is, in effect, a consulting dominatrix. She is terribly thin, dark-haired and well-coifed, and dresses well. She likes puzzles and mysteries. She lives with a woman who helps her in her work, admires her, and is impressed by everything she does. She appears nude in order to confound others. She is attracted to brilliant and dangerous people, like Moriarty.

Irene is a version of Sherlock: an alternative version of him. Unlike Sherlock, Irene embraces her sexuality, and immediately encourages Sherlock to do the same. But much as Sherlock cannot deduce Irene, Irene cannot deduce Sherlock. She doesn’t know what he likes, but she’d really like to find out. Irene has met a male version of herself and she immediately wants to have sex with him. Sherlock doth protest too much: he is alarmed by sex, and Irene, a vision of himself with a voracious sexual appetite, alarms him. 

But she also forces the question of Sherlock’s own sexuality to the forefront. This is a door Sherlock has kept firmly closed, and Irene has forced it open. She is on some level an avatar of Sherlock’s own sexuality, the frequent texter who sets his long-neglected phone moaning at random and regular intervals, a noisy demand that Sherlock blatantly and repeatedly ignores. Well, most of the time. These days he’s started thinking about answering. 

As Sherlock’s emotional arc reaches a crescendo, he can no longer fail to acknowledge his sexuality. Now, when Irene texts and his phone moans, he can’t help but think about responding. But, he quickly assures John, it doesn’t mean anything. Sherlock’s heart lies elsewhere.

Hey so I really love this fic in which Sherlock has been turned into a cat by Irene Adler who's a witch or a gypsy or something like that – and John is just John and moves into Baker Street with this cat who is still living there - is Sherlock, but he doesn't know it. I can't find it anywhere - do you know what that one is called?
