Release from the Pod

The stasis pod had finally been repaired sufficiently for Shockwave and Ratchet to facilitate Knock Out's retrieval.

The technology was impressive, now that he'd had the opportunity to study it thoroughly. Durable beyond the norm, but a logical modification once given due consideration; Insecticon hives extended deep below Cybertron's surface and often dealt with collapses and ground movement. Anything less enduring would not have supported Knock Out through Darkmount's collapse.

Disappointing, that insecticon technology was so maligned.

Shockwave was currently making the final checks to the pod as the medic set up a provisional emergency berth a short distance away; their initial scans suggested that Knock Out would require stabilization before he could be taken to the medical ward for more permanent repairs. A serious crash would require immediate attention, and the cycle or two it would take to get to the medbay risked a permanent offlining they could little afford.

Shockwave's pet had sensed the silent intensity of their fields, and rather than wander off as it was wont to do when bored, it remained tucked in its nest to watch their activity with curious scrutiny.

His checks completed, Shockwave moved to Ratchet's side and scanned the gathered equipment. "Are you duly prepared for the next procedure, doctor?"

Working with the Autobot medic has been an enlightening experience, and one I will regret to see end. Whilst he is currently far from an ideal working partner, Ratchet possesses a surfeit of experience and the deep-coded ability to improvise on the fly even while under significant pressure. Regrettable, to see our skills being wasted on preserving the spark of a narcissistic truckler when we possess the potential to do so much more.

Still, working together has given me far more insight into the way Ratchet's processor functions than mere records ever could. A complex individual, clearly tainted from his close proximity to the Prime. I update his profile when I can, reviewing the entire file each time to deepen my understanding of him.

Information is power, and it is only logical that I accumulate what I can whilst circumstance allows it.

log(4) - The Medic(s)

Getting the Decepticon medic Knock Out out of the stasis pod has been quite a journey. For one, we can not force the pod open for fear that it might destroy the medic's processor and ultimately offline him. Instability lingers.

The pod was severely damaged, which also adds to the instability. I have scanned the medic inside, and his vitals are also unstable. He suffered much damage when the Citadel fell. This makes it even harder.

Shockwave and I have decided that the most logical (I'm growing a distaste for the word) course of action would be to stabilize the pod before releasing Knock Out.

After that, the medic's wounds will be tended to. I am unaware if I will stay on the Nemesis for that job.
