Commander Zavala: “Cayde! Our discussion has not yet concluded!”
Cayde: “That’s why I’m leaving.”
I know it's been a while, but it's been worth the wait, trust.

"On it!"

New Light (Chapter 25) - A Destiny Universe Story
Cayde-6 x Guardian
Somehow, doing this calmed me down, and within the hour, I was strolling into the office, ready to get my reports done. When I walked into the office, I saw someone I didn’t expect. Cayde. I stopped dead in my tracks, surprised to see him working.
Cayde looked up, shocked to see me. “R-Ruby,”
I scoffed, my anger flaring up like a wildfire. “Yeah? Were you expecting someone else? Or did you think I’d died when you abandoned me on Mars?”
Cayde stood and walked over to me, but I stepped back. “Ruby, let me explain.”
I arched an eyebrow. “It would need to be a pretty good explanation. You left me on Mars!”
Cayde sighed and looked down at the ground. “I shouldn’t have left. I’m sorry,” I crossed my arms, waiting for more. “I- I have a lot going on.”
“You have a lot going on?” I scoffed. “Okay. Then this between us is over.”
Cayde’s head snapped up. “Ruby!”
“You need to figure out what’s going on, Cayde, because I can’t deal with it. I have a job, and that’s my main focus. Not your problems.” Cayde closed the gap in three steps, trying to pull me into an embrace, but I pushed him away. “Stop!” I hissed. “I’m not fucking doing this!”
I stormed out of the office before Cayde could say anything more. Cayde managed to undo all my work to calm myself down within minutes. I didn’t know why he could control my emotions like he did.
