We are now well into Season 3 of Stargate and despite Daniel Jackson being a certified menace who divides his time between being kidnapped and sleeping with women I am fully invested in him

feeling strange about sexuality lately. i hate labels, and i hate the way that we have constructed queerness in a way that in order for people to be viewed as "valid" they must have A Label and that is never allowed to change for some reason. i personally feel like my sexuality is very fluid. i suppose i identify as bisexual because it's the closest thing to describing me but it still doesn't feel quite right. bisexual as in "T4T and women only" cause im not really interested in cis guys. i think they're appealing to look at but that's about it. i've thought a lot about leaning more into a transmasc lesbian identity over the years but uhhh idk i feel like communities are super gatekeepy and i'm not trying to have my identity invalidated constantly... maybe it doesn't matter at the end of the day though. i guess i'm just queer and trans and i can live with that. labels suck bc it doesn't feel like there is one for the identity and community i specifically align with but also i like having something to easily describe how i feel because it is less stressful that constantly having some sort of unidentified amalgamation of sexuality/identity that i point at and spend 2 hours trying to explain.

separately i feel like so much of the rigidity i see in the queer community feels extremely... Cis? like idk man i feel like your ideas of sexuality are still rigidly grounded in the construct of gender. cis people only want to allow trans people in their communities when they do it "the right way" AKA in the same way that the cis people do it, and that is true in queer spaces too.

My fiancé has introduced me to stargate recently as it was one of his favourite shows growing up and i'm just putting this out into the world that daniel jackson is an absolute BABE

OKAY SO I WATCHED THE NEW TRON FILM LAST NIGHT AND I HAVE THOUGHTS BELOWWWWW (spoilers ahead my dudes)

this film was SO GOOD

i've been a Tron fan for years and i was initially really worried about a third film because it's been 15 years, but my God it went so hard

some things i wasn't a fan of was jared leto being in it, as he's not a very nice person and i wish they'd cast someone else, but his acting was decent in it, still wish they wouldn't have hired such a menace

i also wished that we had sam and quorra in the film too and not just a nod to them, i do appreciate that the film did that, but it would have been so nice to see them in the film. having said that, i feel like the ending where ares goes to try and find them sets up another film really nicely so maybe they'll be in the fourth one? (if they do a fourth one)

and following on from that, i'm a little sad we didn't get to see edward dillinger jr (who was played by cillian murphy in legacy) in this one, i really hope they haven't ret-conned his character! i would love to see in the next film ed jr coming back to the dillinger company and just being like...what the fuck has my nephew done lol

loved the rest of the cast, evan peters as julian dillinger was superb and jodie-turner smith as athena knocked it out of the park

and NINE INCH NAILS' SOUNDTRACK??? daft punk's soundtrack for legacy was so iconic so it was huge shoes to fill, but nine inch nails are incredible so i knew this wouldn't be a problem for them and they did a fantastic job

the 80's grid coming back was such a lovely surprise and seeing bit again was so cute, i want to have bit as a pet tbh

And seeing a recogniser appear from behind a tall building ready to hunt Eve down made my heart drop it was absolutely terrifying lol

AND JULIAN BECOMING SARK AT THE END, DEAR READER I FUCKING SCREAMED IN THE SCREEN MY GASTS WERE FLABBERED I TELL YOU

so yeah, tron: ares was phenomenal, and it will now be my personality for the foreseeable future thank you and goodnight
