I have no idea of it's been done before, as I have only recently joined the fandom
AU where cb!Cherri is trapped in a time loop in Pity.
At first it’s not so bad since her time in Pity wasn’t as horrible as it could have been for them. Cherri just tries to do everything the same as before, only really trying to prevent Blossom's death. However the more loops she goes through, the more things begin to change and the worse things get.
Some of the town's folk start acting differently than usual. Sometimes it’s subtle and sometimes it’s drastic.
In some loops the original major never goes missing. He keeps trying to get everyone to stay in Pity and pay a large amount of taxes.
In other loops Sal Kuna never went down to the mines and is still alive. (Never for too long. Cherri makes sure of that.)
In a couple of loops the bandits are different. (There was a loop where the bandits were 4C, Graecie, Missy, and the Preacher. All people that Cherri kind of bonded with outside of Apo. It was both very confusing and a shock to Cherri.)
In one loop Cherri goes through with killing Apo. (She never does it again after that loop.)
In a few loops the monster that was trapped with them is much more dangerous and cunning than before. (It creates a couple of sci-fi horror loops.)
In one loop Yahtzee was never invented. (Cherri was devastated.)
There is a loop where Bunny uses Apo against Cherri the same way they had used Missy against Bunny.
In one loop Cherri reaches a breaking point and just burns the town down. In the end she ends up back where she started.
There are a few loops where people find out Cherri is a bounty hunter. Sometimes they react well and sometimes it takes a turn for the worst.
In one loop 4C never arrives to help Apo and Cherri get out of the pit.
In a few loops Cherri and Apo go through with killing Sausage. (Apo doesn’t take it too well.)
In a few loops the fight Cherri has with Bunny goes very differently.
The only thing that truly remains constant is Gnarpy.
One of the few things that remain constant at first is Apo. She always finds them in the same spot as the first time. She always seems to behave like usual and sticks with Cherri in the end. Unfortunately for Cherri, that eventually changes too. They can still find her in the same spot as always, but now it’s always a question on whether she will betray Cherri or not.
(A couple of loops begin to exist where Apo is part of the bandits. Another where she stays loyal to her dad instead of going with Cherri. Another where Apo is killed in a couple of fights between the bandits or in a fight with Sal Kuna. Another where Apo is killed in one of the horror sci-fi loops. Another where Apo dies in the mines and ends up like her dad.)
Not only does Cherri have to deal with all the changes, but they also have to deal with the fact that Apo forgets them after every loop. That every moment they shared will be erased eventually. There are moments Cherri and Apo shared that Cherri will always remember and Apo will always forget.
Pov: it's valentines day and I've worked 8 hours in a card shop (about 30 men bought valentines cards) and drew this and didn't wanna finish it
What's with Owens and having ties to fire / deadly heat. I'd have 3 nickels if we were counting and 2 of em are somewhat foils of each other in their own ways.
