ive had this idea for a while, just never had the skills to execute it how I wanted

can you write hcs for Fives with a taller s/o, please (taller than him)? (like between 4 or 5 inch taller)

Alright, you’re not just tall, you’re tol

(Like, seriously, troopers are canonically 6 ft, so we’re talking Armie Hammer/ Gwendoline Christie in heels tall)

But however you want to think about it, Fives loves it

Yeah, his brothers give him a hard time, but ha! Jokes on you, little spoon was always the best position anyway

He makes a habit of leaning on your shoulder, and nuzzling right into your neck when you’re holding each other

He’s the most openly affectionate out of the all the clones, fight me

The only thing that bothers him is if people claim that he somehow can’t protect you

You both shut that down real quick, but it does get to him from time to time; so much so he almost makes a point to step out in front of you and use his own body as a shield whenever you’re in battle together

(He’d honestly do that regardless of your height difference, but there’s a point to be made if you’re taller)

If people make fun of you for your height, Fives is ready to throw hands

He doesn’t care who they are, somebody is getting a broken nose

Look, Fives loves his S/O and would do just about anything for them, no matter how much taller they are

What’s left behind

Droidbait fell first. He was always the runt of the litter. Even so, commando droids should not have been his first opponent. Not anyone’s first opponent. Droidbait screamed, the fear echoing in his brother’s hearts as they fled like rats through the vents. He was scared but at least he didn’t have to watch his brothers live up to their name, falling like dominos one by one. His body and armor was most likely burnt by the same droids who shot the shiny down. 

Cutup’s body broke with a sickening crunch. Blue bolts hit uselessly the monsters that took him. His armor couldn’t protect him from the eels that fought over his arms and legs. The plastiod, so clean just an hour ago, failed to save him from the starving beasts. His screams cut off and his helmet hit the ground as the eels retreated, still so hungry. 

Hevy was a proud man. He knew exactly what he would paint his armor, no matter the battalion he joined. Whether it be the sunrise yellow or rusty maroon or, oh please, the bold blues of the 501st, he knew what he wanted. Surprisingly, it was pride and not what ifs in his mind as his body was broken by the explosion that claimed the only home he’d known other than Kamino. 

Echo lived a good life, in his opinion. Longer than many brothers. He went on many a dangerous mission and came out on top. Of course, his skill brought him this far but so did luck. Eventually, said luck ran out. A cannon aimed. It fired. His smoking helmet - painted with oh so much pride - fell on the ground. There was no time to retrieve it. It would have been a liability in that instant. 

Fives ran his hand over his head. He missed his hair. Wasn’t that odd? It was always regulation cut. He wanted to match Echo and Fives’ closest brother never had any intricate styles. Now Echo was gone. He placed his helmet down on some shitty motel’s bedside table. He was far in the depths of the Coruscant underground. 

Later that day he would be shot. 

His helmet would be found by a cleaner, a Rhodian. 

She examined it with a scoff. 

She threw it out that night. 

Just a helmet not worth saving.
