"But Azriel never gave Elain any credit for killing the king!"
The same Azriel that was aware of the importance of not telling Bryce everything significant about them?
“Don’t tell her anything,” Amren warned Nesta.
Azriel cleared his throat as if to warn her to stop talking so much, (...).
“Where did the dagger come from?”
Azriel’s hazel eyes held nothing but cool wariness. “Why do you want to know?”
She could have sworn Azriel tensed, like he was weighing how dangerous any answer might be, assessing why Bryce might want to know.
“Something like that,” Azriel hedged. He clearly wasn’t going to enlighten her about their defenses.
“Don’t push it,” Azriel said, a hint of that earlier chill entering his voice.
Azriel folded his wings tightly, clearly wary of discussing such a powerful instrument with a potential enemy.
Nesta stepped up beside them, pointing. “The Harp sat atop that star.”
“Harp?” Bryce asked, not missing the glare that Azriel directed at Nesta.
Azriel lifted a hand toward Nesta, as if he’d cover her mouth to shut her up, but she said, “The Harp is Made. It can stop time itself.”
Hmm, I wonder why they decided not to bring up Elain, a Made seer, into their conversations🤔
Also, friendly reminder that Azriel glanced at TT (a clear reference to Elain) before stating that Nesta beheaded the king. Because that is something that she did. He doesn't explicitly state that she killed him herself. As such, he doesn't solely give Nesta credit. He just avoids giving Bryce more details.
