Take Steps is a charity event that I got involved with last year that focuses on raising money for the patients of Crohn’s Disease and Ulcerative Colitis in hopes of finding cures one day for these diseases. Further research is funded for medicines for those of us with inflammatory bowel disease. I have been nominated as this year’s Take Steps Adult Honored Hero. I have a team together, known as Wade’s Wish, which has the mission of raising money for one day a cure to be found and for future generations to not have to experience we have had to during our lifetimes. I have a strong sense of community and I am also very grateful to have my teammates, Tyminia, Leonelly, and Dani fundraise alongside me.
