Carleigha was running on coffee and the knowledge that once she got through the last cart she'd be able to sit down and continue reading her book. She'd been so immersed in it this morning that she hadn't even heard the nurse calling her back for her appointment. Granted after years of check ups and now more regular appointments they were used to her at this point. The nurse had just tapped her shoulder scared her right off the page and directed her back. Ever since that moment the receipt that held her page had barely gotten the chance to move. After the appointment and a quick stop for coffee she was heading right to work. They were down a librarian so she'd spent the morning flittering around to get the work done and this was the last cart.
Letting out a sigh of relief as she climbed up the ladder to reach the top shelf, one last book waiting to be put away. Her eyes flickered over to her book, waiting on the front desk and instead caught sight of Nakia walking into the room. She grumbles from her perch "You've got to be kidding? Naki I swear, if you keep me from finding out if someone is about to die in my book, I'm going to throw a book at you."
